    Pros

Good work hours, reportedly good benefits

    Cons

Seemingly disorganized, a passive, "state employee" mentality, unfamiliar with the basics of the topic and profession they were seeking to hire. I knew leaving my meeting that this was not the opportunity I had been taking my time to seek. Scheduling was long and convoluted, the two women interviewing me were nice, professional but very awkward, with typed out notes of basic, obviously Internet-recommended basic interview questions. No question seemed to relate to the work at hand. Interviewers were nervous, announced they would take turns asking questions. Very nice people but just a very awkward, unprofessional situation that I scheduled my time for and drove over an hour to conduct hoping this would be the right opportunity. I informed the recruiter that it did not feel right for me and perhaps they felt the same, though their interview process might suggest they need a higher standard of professional employees among their ranks.

    Advice to Management

Have Human Resources play a greater role in your interview process. Train those charged with conducting interviews in how to do so.

    Pros

As a large company they are great in the market place. Overall they are a great company to work for.

    Cons

In South Carolina the company is completely disconnected its core employees. Local management is terrible and unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Corporate Management should look into local management. If you do that, I'm sure you will find the areas of opportunities and make the correct adjustments.

No HR representation on site and very ineffective remote. Very stressful work environment. On call 24/7. Lack of qualified leadership. Managed by fear and intimidation. Very little recognition.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, and react accordingly. Get qualified HR representation on site. Don't let rogue managers push good employees out.

    Pros

Pay scale for SC is fair

    Cons

Office opened in January 2014. There are no policies & procedures or workflows in place to perform jobs effectively. Extremely weak upper management team that does not hold incompetent, unproductive staff accountable. Hostile work environment. Various HR problems that are ignored and swept under the rug. Compliance dept consists of targeting, bullying and intimidation tactics. Overall mess.

    Advice to Management

It would be helpful if corporate came to SC and did a complete audit of all departments. Its a complete disaster.I don't see this business lasting 5 years or the state renewing the contract at the rate they are going. Absolutely no communication between departments along with weak management, that directly effects the overall business process as well as relationships with providers and members.

    Pros

Wonderful American-success-story of Hispanic-American physician caring enough about under serviced, low-income people to devise ways to help them gain quicker access to needed healthcare by navigating Medicaid-&-Medicare's bureaucratic processes.

    Cons

Molina uses American tax dollars sponsoring unethical BPO vendors from abroad. These H-1B vendors "adversely affect the working conditions of American and US Veteran workers similarly employed."

The foreign BPOs Molina Healthcare uses target key U.S. roles in companies and then deliberately lie about employees skills, knowledge, competence, and contributions to organizations in order to unethically-secure American companies; such as Molina Healthcare contracts. Yet, the BPOs are in-fact the one's lacking skills and effective communications. Moreover, BPOs at Molina frequently plagiarize The Companies employees by sending out employees work-product as their own; outsource-vendors just put their BPO company logo on legitimate U.S. employees drafts and BPOs take the credit.

    Advice to Management

Recognize these BPO's only want U.S. Dollars and attempt to send (outsource) U.S. work abroad (off-shore) AND stop your outsource practices. The multi-million dollar contracts Molina has with these foreign vendors is a waste of company and tax-pay dollars. American Employees, Tax-Payers, United States Military Veterans deserve better!

    Pros

Close to home. Saved gas. Good co-workers.

    Cons

Huge, consistent turn over, poor management, a 'sweat shop' right in the state capital. No surprise that Molina is finally shutting down their Tallahassee office. Now watching to see if KL and AC can cause the rest of the MMS offices to collapse too.
