    Pros

Okay place to receive a pay chek. It paid the bills.

The management team is unfair and allow Spanish speaking all day among themselves not work related.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management need to weed out the old and bring in the new more fair supervisors.

I have been working at Molina Healthcare full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The job is in Columbus, Ohio, a rapidly growing and healthy city with low unemployment. Affordable housing, either for rent or for purchase. An almost endless selection of high quality restaurants and very upscale shopping malls.

    Cons

The company is a toxic atmosphere fueled by suspicion, distrust, and underhanded activities by middle management with personal and private agendas.. Very weak un-involved upper management. A monthly turnover rate of 21% should tell you something is not right.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house at the top and have upper management composed of people with leadership qualities who have the spine to turn the company around. .

I worked at Molina Healthcare as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Only if you're desperate for a job

    Cons

IT operations int his company is a joke and the company as a whole shows very little regard for its employees. Require long hours and couldn't care less about one's personal life. Also do not offer any form of com-time or compensation for overtime hours, it's just expected.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider employees personal lives and offer some form of comp-time or compensation for overtime work. I once heard a "supervisor" say that because one of his employees was exempt he could work him 24 hours a day if he wanted. This attitude should be changed.

    Pros

    Pros

Pay is decent and that is all.

    Cons

You have to be in the leadership click or at least they need to like you or your doomed. Very unexperienced leadership when it comes to managing a team. No involvement with employees unless they like you. Gossip Gossip Gossip. No training they just throw you in there. They hire you for one position and put you in another one which a kid can do. Once again if you are not part of the leadership click then you will get nothing and go nowhere in this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out a different leadership team because the one you have is useless. The Molinas need to really take a look at what is really going on and do something quick because you talk about members are the # 1 priority, well look at the type of people that are your members. Leadership is more concerned about numbers vs. helping people who need help and they wonder why people are going to other health plans. This is why it should not be about how many members are dis enrolling first figure out a way to keep them. Hold their hand not hurry them off the phone. Take a look at your leadership Dr. Molina. To many physicians want to cancel contract with Molina, I wonder why. Step it up a bit. No bonus this year I wonder why.

I have been working at Molina Healthcare full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

In-building fitness center and location; competitive medicare/medicaid/marketplace insurance sales and plans. Worthy company mission statement and purpose.

    Cons

Highly disorganized, poorly executed projects and management. Perpetually understaffed and virtually no training on new initiatives, frequently done on the fly due to poor planning as opposed to carefully planned, staffed and executed development. Management has allowed a mean-spirited work environment to develop and sets a poor example that lacks trustworthiness.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management demonstrates unethical behavior with respect to employee feedback or push-back when employees are poorly treated. Not a collaborative, transparent environment at all. Honest feedback or exception taken with poor treatment by superiors or peers is punished or dismissed with disrespect or indifference. Too much outsourcing of key internal services creates chaos and poor internal customer service.

    Pros

Pay and benefits including 401K are great plus you get your holidays off!

    Cons

Greatest challenge was certain co-workers and top management the support was not all there they only care you do your job right. You learn as you go as training is not provided the right way. Plus manager had her favorites it was experts vs rookies type of job ambience. Working with this type of peeps was a joke I lasted 3 years there cause of the pay but that's it thank god I don't work there anymore.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better Training and communication with employees. No favoritism be neutral with all employees.

I have been working at Molina Healthcare full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There is the opportunity to learn, always working with new technology, good benefits, decent pay

    Cons

The culture is really disjointed. A lot of nepatism in promoting and the lack of accountability is atrocious. EIS was reorganized for the better, however the ones that lead this failed in everyway to deliver, they failed to define the group roles and responsibilities, individual roles and responsibilities and one director in charge of new technology and refining current processes has completely abandoned the company altogether. Hasn't produced anything in two years and got promoted to boot!! They actually read a book to try and manage their way out of the very issue they created. Managers all promoted themsleves, meanwhile leaving the rest without titles for two years. Mgmt did a real job selling the reorganization, now it is up to them to step up and lead which is NOT what they do so there really is no hope in success. The only success will be to let them all go and hire in talented experienced leaders who can lead.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take all the VPs, AVPs and directors of each group, sit them down and tell them they all need to work together, define what each group owns and is accountable for, make them accountable to run their teams better. Make them lead, make them actually perform as managers which is a foreign concept. Get a better handle on project mgmt and cost mgmt. Task each leader with efficiency matrix to make their groups more efficient. It should not take 35 people to respond to a sev 1 incident and take more than two weeks to resolve. No work life balance. with no real maintenance structure in place, changes will be made every night and weekend. In addition, sonce the new Operations team cannot staff properly and inept non-technical manages leading, they always have to call skilled engineers to bail them out. No rest or time off. The hipocracy will drive one insane.
