    Pros

    The small staff are hard-working and task-focused. The new office supervisor was wonderful. We were a great team.

    Cons

    Sick leave & vacation leave are lumped together, so if you want to plan a vacation or a little time off, just don't get sick & stay out. So stressful. No opportunities for promotion. Those great benefits & perks? Your paying for it. Anthem BCBS covers only the basics & you can rack up huge medical bills before you know it. All management (but 1 person) are out of state. Communication is by phone, email (a 'ton' every day!) & IM. Very impersonal & it was easy for KL & AC to be rude & demeaning when not face-to-face. Teamwork was not encouraged. If one employee wanted to help another employee, I was told "no, it's not your job". I know that Molina is an awesome company. But the Tallahassee Drug Rebate program is poorly managed, The turn-over rate is evidence. I can't imagine Dr. Molina would ever treat his staff this way.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Management should treat staff as educated, hard-working and dedicated. You reap what you sow. I was interviewed over the phone. One of the questions asked was "What do you expect from management". My answer was, "Appreciation for a job well-done". After they thought I was no longer on the phone, I heard KL tell JB, "I hope I don't have to send her flowers every week". My instincts told me to withdraw my resume. But I wanted to learn new skills. The very first day on the job it was obvious that the staff & supervisor were miserable & they had no reservations about verbalizing this to me. I thought that they were just young & ungrateful & I would make my own decision. It was the most torturous 20 months of my life.

    Pros

    Benefits are the only good thing at this company, which you will need, because working here will send your health and well-being right down the toilet!

    Cons

    The supervisors and management are allowed to treat the employees like dirt.

    Pros

    Decent pay, benefits are good, flex time, laid back atmosphere, work at your own pace, PTO, and floating holiday, some coworkers are fun

    Cons

    Horrible management from the director to the supervisor, coworkers always stabbing someone in the back, lazy management, and uneducated management, favoritism, unethical practices, impossible to promote, low raises and bonus are insults

    Fairly competitive salary and benefits

    Cons

    Two-faced managers, supervisors who bully, unethical and toxic environment. I wouldn't wish Molina on my worst enemy. Worst work-life balance I've ever had the displeasure to experience. Getting the hell out of there was done to save my life. A bunch of unqualified, back-stabbing hypocrites.

    Pros

    Don't know, maybe health benefits, stock options, they say it feels like a mom and pop company.

    Cons

    I know a lot of companies want to play the negotiation game when interviewing, but Molina wants you to ask upfront before your interview (most companies frown on this). I guess my email was blacked because I asked about the salary at my second interview and not prior.

    Pros

    Good Benefits, good vacation and flexible time

    Cons

    Terrible management who get rewarded through connection. Executives awarded themselves and the submissive untalented staffs with promotion and raised. Promotion does not reflect the employee capacity. It rewards the employee if he/she is willing to suck it up and blindly obey the stupid, irrational behavior and bad decision of their superior.

    If you are friend with the right people, you will be promoted regardless of your dismal performance.
    Too many title with little to show for

    Reward and promote people with real talent

    Hire people with true industrial and enterprise experience.

    Listen to employees and try to implement real changes and just not lip services

    Pros

    If you want to work for a company with growth potential then this is the place. They will experience huge revenue increases since they administer government funded health insurance. The growth potential is only limited by their marketing team and their ability to land new contracts with new states. This company will be in business for a long time.

    Cons

    Very poorly management. Steer clear of this company. If you choose to work for this company be very careful regarding management. Make sure you get a good feeling regarding the hiring management and your future boss.

    I worked hard for this company. During my current job search my previous boss provided a bad recommendation. Very surprising and luckily a company I was applying to gave me the heads-up. It is etiquette to provide no information rather than a poor recommendation. This is a very poorly managed company (which you can verify from other reviews). Employee morale is very low.

    Sabotaging a previous employees job search is despicable. This is an incredibly difficult company for employees that care about doing a good job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on employee morale. I never heard about anonymous surveys performed by this company. Perhaps some departments look for feedback but mine did not. Pay very close attention to their suggestions.

    Pros

    I don't know where all the people writing positive reviews worked, but they're not describing the place where I worked for eight years. Working here is like being an intern. You don't get paid much, but hopefully you'll learn enough to go somewhere else and make a living wage.

    Cons

    The pay starts off bad and it only gets worse. Don't bother applying for internal promotions, because you won't be paid what outside applicants would be paid for the same job. I know several people making below the minimum of their positions salary range. Also, HR has a policy where they max you out at 10% of your current salary for a promotion. So if you get a significant promotion, chances are you will NOT be paid what the position is worth. And with annual raises between 1-3%, you will fall further and further behind the market trends. I know, because when I finally wised up and left, I was offered the same position at another insurance making $28,000 per year more. That is not a typo. I had three internal promotions in eight years, and they screwed me over every time.

    Treat internal candidates by the same rules as external candidates.
