    Pros

Great culture, great benefits, full of opportunity to grow and succeed.

    Cons

IT upper middle and lower management are terrible, condone and practice nepotism to its fullest extent, they also retaliate and get rid of anyone opposing their agendas regardless of the effort that people make to uphold company's standards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of all of them in IT, they are nothing but HOLLYWOOD and as such waste precious company talent and money to line their own and also their friends and family

I worked at Molina Healthcare full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great Benefits, decent pay. The president of the company is the coolest guy ever!

    Cons

After you have received absolutely NO training at all. They take you into a room and evaluate you. They point out everything you have never been taught and make you feel like crap. Once you finally get the hang of things, mind you, because they have finally taught you something by criticizing the crap out of you (Criticism is your technical training). At your next evaluation, they tell you everything you've done wrong again...while you feel like you have helped the world, and have worked very hard....Management can't see it for being so focused on the negative. It is very sad. They seem to promote people based on how easy they are to work with, instead of promoting those who are qualified and really deserve the job. Also, I always feel like, somebody's watchhhhing meeee.......And I have no privacy. Most people I have spoken to are disgusted. It would behoove you to stay to yourself in a place like that. They go ask people if they want to be promoted instead of posting jobs so everyone has a fair shot. It is almost equivalent to the Stepford Wives.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote people based upon their knowledge skills and abilities.

    Cons

Too many cooks in the kitchen

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a look at how your management is running your company. Just because they are hitting numbers doesn't mean they are treating your staff they way they deserve to be treated.

I have been working at Molina Healthcare full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good Values, no micro-managing. Some employees are very talented and many are very nice people. The office location is great.

    Cons

Top management are too self-involved. They don't care too much about their reports - don't want any details about the work their reports actually do, just "get it done".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to be more involved with the people who work under you. There also needs to be some structure and agreement about what corporate office is responsible for and what the plan level is responsible for. Too many tasks and responsibilities get pushed down to the plan level without notice or preparation.

    Pros

Good working offices. Supervisor support when needed. Good place to start your career to learn and earn experience.

    Cons

Underpaid in some cases. They pay you low but expect you work much more than the level they advertised in job posts. They take advantage of your capabilities to do complicated work as much as they can without thinking how to have a corespondent compensation for these!!! As a result, good employees have to leave for better opportunities. Second, they refuse to pay you overtime even though they know you have to work overtime to complete their assignments. Finally you have to take work home without pay if you want not to look bad in front of them, which will affect your humble benefits. Stupid coaching and training system which just creates un-realistic imagination to fill in the coaching forms, cost time, money, create unnecessary pressure, but doesn't bring any effectiveness and improvements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please think about your employees. If they can do the jobs which nobody in the department can, please consider a fair compensation for them.

I have been working at Molina Healthcare full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Molina hires some great talent who take pride in doing an excellent job and give 110%. There are some long-term employees there who have made Molina their career and will retire from the organization. There are some great mentors within the organization.

    Cons

The pay is incredibly poor. If I weren't married, I would be on Medicaid. Promises are made for advancement and not kept by upper management. The company recently discontinued the award recognition program for employees on the basis that it was not cost-effective and there is no longer any incentive to go above and beyond. Employees do not feel appreciated but they do feel overworked.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring back some sort of recognition program for employees. Do not make promises that cannot be kept. And please take another look at your compensation program as it is not market-driven but profit-driven for the executives.

I worked at Molina Healthcare as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The people at the Molina office in Milwaukee were very very nice. At times, they were not all inline on the collective goal of the organization and there were flaws in some of the processes and structure of the organization. When I left they were going through a large change in their management team and appeared to be heading in the right direction.

    Cons

A lot of the flaws stemmed from views and action of the top management team. The 7 months I spent there were filled with constant changes in the personnel of the top management team. The previous management did not seem to know how to keep the Milwaukee branch in line with the goals of the parent organization but things seemed to be heading in the correct direction as I was finishing up my time there.
