I worked at Monster Energy full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The Monster Energy Company is an amazing company to work for because it is the leader in an industry that is young and still developing. The energy drink industry quickly became oversaturated with competition due to relatively low barriers to entry, but because Monster established itself early on in the introduction of the energy drink industry, Monster has continued to grow and expand sales since it's inception.

    Cons

Depending on what department you work in, some people may find themselves in a situation where there is almost no oversight because everybody has entirely too much they are responsible for. Because the company has continued to grow at such an extraordinary rate, Monster has had difficulty keeping up with hiring enough employees to support such growth, and as a result, many of its current employees become stretched too thin.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Establish an infrastructure for training all entry-level sales positions and don't be afraid to hire an increasing number of employees to support your growth. As long as sales continue to grow, the added overhead of hiring more people will yield even greater profits if done correctly.

I have been working at Monster Energy full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is a great, but just like all corporate companies, They really don't care about the foot soldier TDM/FSR.
These are the individuals that are executing all programs and sales.

    Cons

Lack of promotion, No stocks options unless you know someone. They have Regional Managers and TDM/FSR that have been with the company since the beginning, and have no options. Disgraceful

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please sit down and recognize the people who are making the difference in the company, Start with the TDM/FSR who are the ones meeting the retailer, executing your cheesy programs, and get their inputs in regards to what works in the trade. Develop a relationship with them and make them part of the family.

I worked at Monster Energy as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

It was fun mingling with people, promoting products and offering samples. The particular product I was promoting was great so I had no problem finding things to say about it.

    Cons

It took them over a month to pay me for the first job. My boss even got frustrated that none of the promotion girls were getting paid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees in a timely manner!

I worked at Monster Energy part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I worked as a Marketing Ambassador for a MAT team. I enjoyed the following:
    -Good pay
    -Flexible schedule
    -Traveling within the region
-Getting to rep at various popular events and festivals
    -Fun interacting with the public

    Cons

-Direct supervisor (MAT team market manager) was not consistent about communicating changes in procedures to all employees and employees would get backlash for "mistakes" made due to lack of information; He was also sometimes not respectful when speaking to subordinates and often appeared to pick favorites

    Pros

Decent pay. Highly flexible schedule. A lot of driving company vehicle. Always a new destination. Paid travel. Meet a lot of new people.

    Cons

Again I stress a lot of driving. Very few weekly hours. Never know where work is for the day.
The ammount of people at some events can be overwhelming.
