Great when I started, but losing steam with Sal at the helm....

Inside Sales (Former Employee)
Maynard, MA

I worked at Monster Worldwide full-time for more than 8 years

ProsThe people on the front lines are amazing. I met some of my greatest friends there.
Good benefits.
Competitive salary.

ConsSenior management has lost focus - more concerened with tracking metrics then actual selling.
Advancement in Maynard office is awful. Many times outside people are brought in over viable inside candidates.
Top talent are in an exodus.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet back to being a sales and marketing company.
Create a culture within the company besides the fear culture.

– I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Great technical learning experiences

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Cambridge, MA

I have been working at Monster Worldwide

Pros1. Great technical exposure. If you're looking for technical challenges, then yes, you'll love it here!
2. Fast paced organization - pretty aggressive deadlines
3. You'll get parking in the Maynard, MA but great views in Cambridge, MA (near MIT)
4. Co-workers are very motivated and knowledgeable in general.

Cons1. Processes are not really in place
2. Extremely high initial learning curve.
3. Not much knowledge/information documented properly. This is because of the very fast paced, aggressive schedules and the agile changes. This is problematic.
4. Pay hikes are very meager.
5. Slow promotions

Good job in the Recruitment platform industry

Account Executive (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at Monster Worldwide

ProsControl your own success. You can make a nice pay check if you put the work in and do all the right things.

ConsMonster is a larghe company. Any time you work for a company that large, the smaller details sometimes can get ignored.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement is fair and usually on the side their workers. Monster has a lot of credible people running its management. Most of their managers have been on the front line, so they know where their workers are coming from.
