    Pros

Monster provided a great benefits package and opportunities for advancement. The best part about working there was definitely the people and they had a great sales training program!

    Cons

Management has killed the once great culture that Monster was known for. They also made some poor choices on where they put energy as far as creating new and cutting edge products.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring back that once great culture!

I worked at Monster Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Salary is competitive with similar jobs.

    Cons

Sales territories not balanced...some could meet quota by simply sitting their and waiting for the orders to come in, while others would have to really hustle to meet quota. The threat of being terminated loomed over your head by upper management every single day. Financial future of this company is not certain.

    Pros

Laid back work environment and they will work with you if you have things you need to do away from the office during the day. Great tuition reimbursement program in place. Generous base pay and commission structure if you get a good territory. Great people to work with.

    Cons

The company is clearly on its last leg fiscally. They have laid off the entire HR department and most of marketing as well as development. They continue to hire in sales, but the earnings reports are dismal. The company has some really great products such as Power Resume Search, but they do nothing to market them. Some of the other products and acquisitions the company has made are total failures. If you get a good territory, you're golden, but if you get a bad territory, you are screwed. Bad territories are filled with duplicate and child accounts that don't have purchasing power or newspaper accounts and closed businesses. They pressure you to make you feel as though you are not doing enough, but generally, if you can make 70+ dials a day and show solid account coverage, you are okay.

    I worked at Monster Worldwide

    Pros

Easy to excel and get new job titles. Good wage increase annually. Very progressive workplace for the most part. Very relaxed environment with the exception of the work. Not a hard place to get a job either. Was an easy place to get on with and work 2nd shift while I earned a degree in the day.

    Cons

Some management incompetent. Company is going down hill financially. Wouldn't recommend getting on at this time.

    Pros

Great Training Programs, Management team always has your back

    Cons

HR Benefits are sparse and over priced. Out of the last 9 years, raises were only given out three times and its been over four years since a bonus was seen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote from within, seems that a lot of people here start in a positon and stay in the same position.

I worked at Monster Worldwide full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Relaxed environment, tries to provide a casual, constructive atmosphere. There are some really good folks that try to do the right thing.

    Cons

The company retains a vast majority of original long term contributors. While experience is quite useful for the newcomers. This presents a challenge to those trying to take things to the next level. Adoption to change is difficult for folks that were and are responsible for the start of Monster
