I have been working at Monster Worldwide full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work not only because of the atmosphere and flexibility but for the ability to have your voice heard at such a huge company. Having my manager value my opinion on even the smallest things makes me feel a lot more accomplished on a day-to-day basis which then motivates me to work even harder because I know my contributions mean something. The overall culture is something that i see continuously get better since i started and I'm excited to see what the implement next. If you're looking for a place full of collaboration and forward thinking, Monster's the place. There are a lot of exciting and innovative products being rolled out so it's gratifying to be a part of that movement in the industry!

    Cons

The company is still trying to shape the meaning of the "new Monster" so working out the kinks is a challenge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Although culture has taken a huge turn for the better, since I've arrived, it needs to continue to be top priority as it's truly a motivating factor in the workplace.

I have been working at Monster Worldwide full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

It's a relaxed atmosphere, with catered lunches, weekly happy hours, and friendly people. Supportive environment that encourages learning with good pay.

    Cons

Direct management is lacking. Often didn't feel I was learning much after the first year. Raunchy language used on sales floor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create more individual accountability by managing the team more closely. Don't instill an attitude of haughtiness in new hires. Confidence is great, but not when it's unwarranted.

I have been working at Monster Worldwide full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I’ve worked for Monster as a Senior Account Manager (IRC) for almost a year, and coming to work here has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

The innovation is amazing. Every quarter I have exciting new products and solutions to tell my clients about.

My clients are wonderful, and on the whole, they get great results. They tell me Monster is their vendor of choice and are open to trying new products.

My coworkers are mature and very bright. If I don’t know how to do something, chances are someone sitting near me does. With people who have worked there over a decade, there is a wealth of knowledge and experience all around me.

My boss is a nice, genuine person. He is there to remove roadblocks and point me in the right direction.

We are a real team. I closed a sale at 6 pm on a Friday night. Almost the only people left in the office were managers and they clapped for me. It was a great feeling.

Oh, and I just was able to bring a friend on board and she likes it a lot too.

    Cons

The company would greatly benefit from more women in management, and I'm not even pointing at myself here.

I don’t know what to make of the negative reviews. Maybe things used to be better, but I have looked at many, many similar jobs in the Boston area, and this is by far the sanest company with the best compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I am very lucky that I have a great RSM and Director that care what I think and wish that for all of my colleagues.

    Cons

Too few to mention. I have really enjoyed my time with the company and love my team. I hope that the new direction continues into 2015 and beyond.
