    Pros

Working at Monster is super great! The managers have no clue what's going on so we don't have to do much work at all. They try to tell us what to do but if you ignore them long enough they go away and they can't fire us because they have us too short handed.

I even know about people being told they can't work from home but they do it anyway because what are the managers going to do?

The director is so lost. He is still trying to run this place like a bank. What a fool. He'll never learn.

So if you don't want to work and coast through the day come to Monster! Just make sure you become friends with the managers because that's all they care about. You can come in late and leave early! If they don't like you then no matter how hard you work they will let you go.

    Cons

If you like to do work the party atmosphere may be a little to much for you.

    Advice to Management

Don't get comfortable. When the board wants to change something the first (and only) thing they change is the staff!

    Pros

The people here are fantastic. You will never find a more dedicated, hard working, talented group of individuals anywhere. The people who work for this company are by far some of the best and brightest.

    Cons

poor business process, outdated technology, non-integrated workflow, management heavy, poor internal investment strategy

    Advice to Management

Stop acquiring other companies and spend some money improving the company infrastructure and updating the existing technology. You would be wiser to spend money on providing employees with better computers and integrating the business systems rather than expanding our product portfolio.

    Pros

The people, the pay (when you do well, after all it is a sales job and if you suck you don't make a lot), my boss, the mission.

    Cons

There are people that have a very ignorant view of the direction monster is taking. You see it all over this site through negative reviews. Sometimes it is hard to be positive when there are so many negative people with an unrealistic expectation of the job and business in general. The company is adapting to the change in the marketplace faster and more smart than any of the competitors. Yes it would be nice to fail and still get 100% commission or a pat on the back, but that is not how business works. Sales is a very different job than most, yes the company gives you pto, but a true sales person knows that everyday missed in the office is an opportunity and a sale not made. The biggest con about monster is that they allow these negative, spiteful people work there. Monster is a great company and will continue to do great things.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the negative, ignorant, and unsuccessful sales people. They are poisoning the waters.

    Pros

The company is making a push to be more innovative and it certainly shows. I've been here for over a year now, and everyone I've had the pleasure of working with has been easy to collaborate with. The team I work with has become like family, always helping each other with tasks while also providing guidance wherever needed... and finding time to have fun in between. The workload is challenging and heavy from time to time, but always doable and rewarding. The work-life balance is also good as there's generally flexibility with hours and needing to work remote.

    Cons

Some people are still stuck in "old" ways, which creates challenges when trying to innovate. Sometimes there is a little disconnect between departments- but it's nothing communication can't fix.

    Advice to Management

    Keep pushing to innovate.

    Pros

Great place to work not only because of the atmosphere and flexibility but for the ability to have your voice heard at such a huge company. Having my manager value my opinion on even the smallest things makes me feel a lot more accomplished on a day-to-day basis which then motivates me to work even harder because I know my contributions mean something. The overall culture is something that i see continuously get better since i started and I'm excited to see what the implement next. If you're looking for a place full of collaboration and forward thinking, Monster's the place. There are a lot of exciting and innovative products being rolled out so it's gratifying to be a part of that movement in the industry!

    Cons

The company is still trying to shape the meaning of the "new Monster" so working out the kinks is a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Although culture has taken a huge turn for the better, since I've arrived, it needs to continue to be top priority as it's truly a motivating factor in the workplace.

    Pros

It's a relaxed atmosphere, with catered lunches, weekly happy hours, and friendly people. Supportive environment that encourages learning with good pay.

    Cons

Direct management is lacking. Often didn't feel I was learning much after the first year. Raunchy language used on sales floor.

    Advice to Management

Create more individual accountability by managing the team more closely. Don't instill an attitude of haughtiness in new hires. Confidence is great, but not when it's unwarranted.
