I have been working at Monster Worldwide

    Pros

Control your own success. You can make a nice pay check if you put the work in and do all the right things.

    Cons

Monster is a larghe company. Any time you work for a company that large, the smaller details sometimes can get ignored.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is fair and usually on the side their workers. Monster has a lot of credible people running its management. Most of their managers have been on the front line, so they know where their workers are coming from.

    I worked at Monster Worldwide

    Pros

It was a great place to work...fun while it lasted. Lots of great perks, free lunch, coffee soda. Great pay if you met your goals!

    Cons

High turn over, not much training, high pressure environment. Not a place for an entry level sales position. Communication needs some improvement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should invest in your people more and work to improve communication to remote sites. Sales and service are not always on the same page and it hurts business relationships.

I have been working at Monster Worldwide

    Pros

    * Relaxed atmosphere, but people get their work done
    * Flexible work schedule available depending on team/dept.
    * Ability to work with teams of multiple disciplines within the company
    * Decent support for continued learning, exploring careers within Monster

    Cons

    * Unclear career path for many job functions. Promotions are often self-invented positions or a move to different job function.
    * Sales culture. Non-sales roles definitely take a backseat in rewards and compensation.
    * Poor retention in some areas. Veteran employees often find themselves drastically underpaid for same role as new hires.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recommend salary review after 3-4 years to retain best talent.
Recommend addition to the review process -- supervisors to be rated by those they manage.
