    Pros

Good work life balance if you're in a back office IT position. IT infrastructure is first class. Hours are normal 9-6'ish in my team. Good amount of support from peers. If you're at Morgan Stanley, join the "hackers" mail group, it will make the days go by faster.

    Cons

Turn over is high, the bank is top heavy with lots of VPs and EDs because pay is always below par. They tend to give titles bumps to associates because it's cheaper than giving salary increases. Bonuses are lackluster as well in a back office position... Less than 5% for most of the people i spoke with. A lot of associates and VPs are leaving because of the pay. Lots of H1-B and contractors to suppress the pay scale

    Advice to Management

It's a great company and excellent resume building material, but that only goes so far. You can't compete with Google and Facebook who is offering people with 1-2 years experience what you're paying senior developers.

    Pros

401k match, culture is more relaxed then Goldman or Fidelity, paid vacation time off

    Cons

no employee stock grants, no company parties including Christmas, no bonuses, no incentives to win anything worth anything. really kind of a boring company to work for, hard to move up even with many years experience. lots of the typical big company politics and red tape.

    Advice to Management

convince upper management to invest in retainment by making the company fun
