    Pros

Well respected organization which has emerged post financial crisis as a leader in equities

    Cons

Large and bureaucratic organization with opportunities for advancement which might be limited if not in a revenue producing role.

    Pros

Interview process was very fast, great access to senior leadership, surrounded by intelligent people, challenging work environment, benefits package, bonus and compensation are average

    Cons

Little to no mentorship, face time is very important to senior management where hours matter versus actual work completed, work life balance

    Advice to Management

Management should get to know junior members of the team better and focus on development and mentorship of employees.

    Pros

Morgan Stanley offered an excellent summer analyst experience and gave me exposure to the financial markets. I learned through close mentorship and built relationships that will last the rest of my career.

    Cons

Long hours and lack of work of work life balance. Lack of sleep was definitely an issue. I need to fill more words in so here we go.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. You need to shift away from strictly working on PWM because while it offers steady revenue, it lacks growth potential and Goldman will be taking revenue from trading/prop.

    Pros

    - incredibly intelligent coworkers, low attitude/arrogance factor, flat structure and personable, collegial work environment - clients are some of the biggest nonprofit, governmental clients in the country. Real opportunity to make impact on everyday issues - MS gives free access to museums and places around the city that they've donated to

    Cons

    - still can be upward of 14 hours a day desk job - around the clock accountability, some weekends - coworkers very professional, but often hard to develop personal relationships or have thoughtful, honest conversations. Still a separation between work and personal life - workplace is stuffy and corporate. Developed back pain due to office chairs, no standing desks or health initiatives - few lifestyle perks - there's a gym on site that's incredible, but compared to friends in tech and consulting, there's no free healthy food, transportation, travel perks. Always buttoned up and conservative

    Pros

Many departments. Relatively easy to migrate within the firm. People are rewarded and praised for longevity of employment. If you are ambitious, generally people are willing to help you.

    Cons

Systems change frequently. A lot of time is often spent learning new protocol.

    Pros

Experience all depends on your partners and how much they are willing to share with you.

    Cons

Your only real productive use at the end of the day as an intern is banging out phones

    Advice to Management

Continue to include interns in meetings

    Pros

Good compensation, well respected name in the industry, relatively good culture, not as elitist as some competitors, lots of talented people to work with, well-structured program for junior employees

    Cons

Very corporate, not nimble IT infrastructure, Times Square is terrible, unclear industry prospects, lot of dead weight hanging around, still too much old-school heirarchy in terms of junior people being disrespected by their team (e.g. massive coffee/breakfast/lunch runs on demand)

    Advice to Management

To retain talented young people in 2015, you can't just pay well. You need to make sure they are being treated respectfully, given the tools to innovate, and train them with skills they will value for their careers into 2060.

    Pros

Competitive salary Experience with big deals in the financial industry Discount on wealth management

    Cons

Health insurance benefits are more expensive than other companies 401k only matches up to 4% Less room for promotion than in NY

    Advice to Management

Adjust salary based on cost of living

    Pros

    - Great people, people who do business the right way - Not an ahole culture - Groups aren't huge, less hierarchy than most banks - Tons of recruiters / headhunters reach out to you

    Cons

    - It's banking after all so not thaaat much fun to be honest - Pay isn't great given how much you're working - that's about it

    Advice to Management

I don't have too much advice for management because we never really interact with them. My advice would be to hire more analysts.
