Current Employee – been working at Morgan Stanley
Pros – Training is good, and support staff is ok.
Cons – Even though is a great training opportunity, their FA Trainee program is extremely short with a vast amount of info that is impossible to assimilate in weeks. They would place FAA on production when you still dont know anything, and expect you to bring the assets necessary in order to make the goals. A sophisticated investor can smell a rookie from miles away.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Morgan Stanley as an intern for more than a year
Pros – Friendly, knowledgable people at Morgan Stanley. From my short experience, there is a general willingness to help one another and no hostility among teams and workers.
Cons – The system is a bit complex, and it there is a lot of red-tape to get through in order to be registered for access to a program or a particular aspect of the system. The process may take several days or weeks if you are not persistent.

Former Employee – worked at Morgan Stanley
Pros – I did a summer internship with Morgan Stanley as an IT analyst, and was treated as if a full time employee. I did the same job as others, and all the colleagues were very friendly.
Cons – Doing IT job in an investment bank may not be so interesting to some people. Some jobs may not be so challenging and highly business-related.
