Started as a wealth management intern, then received a job offer

Client Service Associate (Current Employee)

I have been working at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney full-time for less than a year

ProsThey sponsor you to get licensed immediately, there are locations nationwide and internationally so it's good for someone like me who may not plan on living in NYC forever.

ConsIn branches, job opportunities are limited. Your only options are Financial Advisor, Client Service Associate, and Operations. There are several opportunities in Morgan Stanley itself though, so this isn't much of a con.

ProsThey hire some of the most intelligent professionals in the industry. The learning potential is massive, turn over is not very high and employees are loyal. This is a fantastic company to work for.

Prosno limit on compensation. you will make as much as thr hard work you put in. Very professional people and environment.

Had a great intern experience, and am now a full-time employee. Great work environment.

Client Service Associate (Current Employee)

I have been working at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney

ProsI love the work environment at the branch. Everyone gets along, there's always work to do so the day goes by quickly. Also, I like the fact that I can go to the nearby headquarters building and use the company gym for a great price.

ConsNo downside where I work, but I've been to some of the more corporate offices and the environment seems VERY different than the branch environment. It seemed pretty quiet (not that it's loud at the branch, but it's lively and welcoming).
