    Pros

Great team members, always willing to teach new things and help with projects and tasks. Management is very helpful and kind, never degrading.

    Cons

Not a whole lot. The only thing I would change is that I would like to be a full time employee rather than a contractor so I could collect benefits. contractors do not get benefits

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. I enjoy how they stay engaged in employees activities and offer words of praise and encouragement.

    Pros

Every day is a new day. It is dynamic and energetic place to work. Employees have the opportunity to take on a lot of responsibility and be rewarded well for it. Being part of a transformation is exciting.

    Cons

Micromanagement at times. You need to take your punches and move on.

    Advice to Management

    Be transparent and continue collaborating.

    Pros

Relaxed, flexible and usually informal environment that encourages individual input and self motivation. Daily activities vary greatly, offering variety and challenge. Regular client interaction on a global level makes the company feel grounded in the real world.

    Cons

Large organisation which unfortunately brings a fair degree of bureaucracy with it. Training opportunities tend to be limited. Pay is industry standard.

    Advice to Management

Greater access to training of employees would be beneficial to all. More allowance for R&D activities would help to get fresh IT ideas into the current products, as some of these are somewhat dated.

    Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed interning for NASDAQ. A major positive was that there was always something for me to do (and it wasn't administrative work). My boss was very intelligent and wanted me to get the most out of the experience. I would recommend interning here to anyone interested in the field.

    Cons

You don't interact with anyone beyond your direct supervisor

Long, brutal hours but not unusual for the industry.

    Pros

They have invested a lot of money in next gen service offerings, waiting to see how it all turns out. They pay well, no quota, opportunities for bonuses, cool people.

    Cons

Very chaotic place to work. Many internal requirements in order to keep reports accurate.

    Advice to Management

Rome wasn't built in a day.

    Pros

If you find yourself in the right role you will be presented fantastic opportunity to grow and learn. The business is very diverse and there are always "new" areas of the capital markets business to learn.

    Cons

Promotion can be challenging, in sort of "typical" corporate environment manner. Who you align yourself with, professionally, can have a profound impact on the potential for career growth.

-bosses expected a lot but also were humans
    -compensation was great
-exposure to other parts of the company and meeting people was a huge plus. i got to learn about different business units and what they did. shadowing people was encouraged and people were responsive to any inquiries i had about their role, why the liked it, etc.
