    Pros

    Very flexible hours
    great benefits
    none stressful role

    Cons

    no opportunity for growth
    Low pay
A lot cliches promotion not from experience but who you know

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Embanet was purchased by pearson about two years ago. The old management still play the "if you are in the cliche" we will suggest you for promotion if not we wont.

I have been working at NCS Pearson as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Once you're hired and have proven your abilities, you will be asked back for future assignments. And declining an assignment does not negatively impact your options for future jobs.

    Cons

They do tell you the scoring schedule window is an estimate. But, if you're expecting to get a certain number of hours on certain days, it's all dependent upon how many responses are loaded into the system and how many scorers are working at that particular time. The beginning of a project is the most erratic. After a few days, there's usually a smother flow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Something really needs to be changed regarding the reading rubrics. So, so very many scores are subjective.

I worked at NCS Pearson full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Decent Pay. Strong Benefits. Strong products in the marketplace.

    Cons

In major transition mode right now. Restructuring has let many good people go. It will take a couple of years for the company to sort out its new organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more transparent in terms of ongoing organizational changes. Uncertainty caused many people to underperform due to insecurity and lack on knowledge on what's coming next.
