    Pros

    Beautiful Campus
Always events or celebrities on campus
    Friendly employees and fun products
Great discounts at the employee store

    Cons

    Highly political environment
Very hierarchical from parking to every aspect of how the business is run
Very difficult to figure out who decision makers are. Even after a decision has been made another manager may come in and reverse the decision. This leads to chaos.
    Lack of accountability
Lack of honesty in dealing with employees
Many silos. Information is often held very close tot he vest.
Could not get used to the alcohol that is prevalent on campus (even at meetings)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think the the innovation and the technology created by Nike is amazing. I was underwhelmed with the quality of the mid level management team. I think Nike should slice off a bit of the marketing funding and put that back into intensive training and development of managers. Great managers attract great employees and get fantastic results.

    I worked at NIKE

    Pros

Was a fine place to work, offered extensive training and paid well. The hours were good and the people were friendly.

    Cons

There were too many managers and positions were constantly being cycled which made maintaining some form of consistent relationship with the manager in charge of your department difficult.

I have been working at NIKE

    Pros

30% discount in factory stores (where almost everything is discounted when it is received by the store) and more I believe in actual "Niketown" stores. 40% if I remember correctly, though I've never been to one as they're all too far from where I live. These first two discounts are on top of sale discounts that are going on too. Access to Employee Stores, where everything is around half-off of normal price - lots of just-in type product. Half-off certain "releases," like the Columbia Jordan 4s I got last weekend. Access to the employee-only website "Swoosh" that has discounts on great stuff too.

    Cons

Everyone at my store started at under $10 an hour. As far as raises, my boyfriend has been at the store for more than 3 years and is only making 25 cents more an hour than me. Both of us are still under $10. Even moving up to a "lead" position will bring you around $11 or $12.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you can't manage to pay a good amount to keep your employees happy, find other ways. Make work a fun place to be.
