    Great culture; everyone is very helpful & willing to answer any and all questions

    Pay is low for the work that is expected People move on rather quickly

    Compensation for service associates is not comparable to that for sales Very little investment is made in updating systems Very little career growth or associate development

    Pros

    Individuals are great. Good people who like to work and like to have fun.

    Cons

    Leadership does not communicate with the associates, or even each other sometimes. It's a struggle to keep up with a direction they don't share or only share in bits and pieces. People leave because they are frustrated, and they do not get replaced. We are too busy trying to cover all the daily work to really make plans for client retention and product research.

    Advice to Management

    You have some great big ideas, but we need the internal tools, communication, and number of people to make you ideas a reality. It's hard for associates to feel like you trust them or care about them, they get frustrated, so they leave.

    Pros

    The people at NRC are the company's greatest asset. The people at NRC work hard, with integrity and respect, and they are accountable and generally work in a very cohesive, team-oriented manner. The office culture is positive because of the people. Clearly NRC has done a good job of hiring people who fit the culture. The work has meaning and purpose, as we seek to help healthcare organizations improve the experience of their patients. The work-life balance is very good. Life outside of work is valued just as much as hard work in the office.

    Cons

    The direction of the company is unclear. We've experienced big changes recently (example - COO resigned), and the future of the company's leadership and the structure is a bit up in the air. It's appears sales folks are valued more than service folks at NRC. While service is valued for the great work that is performed each day, the compensation received (not received) reflects that service is not as valued as sales, in spite of the very important role service plays in retention and upsells. Technology is not what it should be at a company like NRC. Using old systems and databases that are not necessarily conducive to the ever-changing landscape of healthcare and need to provide clients with the tools they need.

    Advice to Management

    In addition to providing quarterly financial updates to associates, which is nice to see (even at a high level), it would benefit associates to have more transparency from leadership in regards to the direction the company is headed.

    Pros

    Great first job for college grads. Get the ability to travel throughout the US and get experience working with senior level people in healthcare systems. Able to develop great sales knowledge and presentation skills

    Cons

    Senior leadership has been changing a lot lately making it difficult for anything to move forward. Also takes up to 3 months before you receive commissions.

    Pros

    -Good work-life balance -Relaxed work environment -No micro-management -Decent compensation -good working relationships

    Cons

    -Constant reorganization at mid-level management and above creates unstable work environment -401k match is a joke at .25 % company match -Service is often stretched very thin with too much work, not enough associates to complete it, and hiring freezes on top of that -the annual associate engagement survey seems less aimed at actually improving work lives and more geared towards appeasing associates with "small wins" -propriety software that supports the biggest portion of business is outdated (created 15-20 years ago) and senior leadership is in denial about the needed systems overhaul to stay competitive as a business -complete lack of formal training program for service associates; managers and supervisors with already full plates have to create and implement training programs for new associates

    Advice to Management

    NRC needs to step into the 21st century, technology-wise, and provide associates with adequate tools to do their job in terms of software used to create client deliverables.

    Pros

    Fun Place to work, lively group of coworkers, drink beers every friday in office, get to do a lot of traveling

    Cons

    senior and junior management are not very good to employees. Take a long time for management to get back to you. The hiring process was about 3 or 4 months

    Tell your employees good job and reward them a little more
