    Pros

Very good benefits and great environment. The culture within the company good. The opportunities for growth are good but only in certain departments.

    Cons

The company is very large and all across the country. It is easy to not be considered for a job opportunity because they already knowwho they will be hiring when you apply internally.

    Pros

There is no reason at all to work for NRG

    Cons

Headquarters in New Jersey make more than distance a problem in cooperation and synergy No chance to be judged on the merits of your work Below-market compensation

    Advice to Management

Since electricity and other energy products are essentially the same for all providers, the brand depends on service for its competitive advantage. You depend on your employees, so treating them as interchangeable playing pieces is not only bad for your work environment, it also degrades the results you deliver to customers.

    Pros

Decent benefits, great coworkers, laid back environment.

    Cons

Very low wages for what is expected of you. No employee value. No value of family. No flexibility. Discrimination. Do not work here if you have children, there is no work/life balance. They pretend to care, but they really don't. You are nothing more than a number on the timeclock. Horrible management and inconsistent practices. Terrible communication. Very unfair place to be if you are in administration.

    Advice to Management

Don't make promises to employees that you have no intention on keeping. Do not pretend that you value them as people when you really do not.

    Pros

There are hardly any good things about NRG Well Stimulation in Tomball, TX. The only good thing is when and if you make it to your assigned days off!

    Cons

This company does its best to have the "what they call" management try to intimidate, threaten, and belittle all shop employees! I have never worked at a company that treats its employees so bad on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like the good people they are, not like prison inmates!!!!! Horrible place to work!!!!

    Pros

Make a living and be exposed to how a large company can work.

    Cons

Company runs at whims of the CEO with little ability of other executives in charge to make a decision. NRG is a very large corporation with lots of subsidiaries and tons of fiefdoms. Not employee-centric.
