    Pros

Great coworkers: friendly, patient, and helpful.
Decent benefits: Health, dental, eye. 401k and 401k matching up to 6%.

    Cons

Poor communication between departments, resulting in unhappy clients and finger-pointing. This was an issue before being acquired that has gotten better since.

Overworked and underpaid employees: the workloads each department carries is exacerbated by the low headcount. New (read: NYSE and now ICE) requirements for hiring new people are inconsistent and seemingly unattainable for certain departments. Watching other departments gain new members while mine consistently lost people was beyond frustrating. Team morale was at an all-time low and while our local manager did the best he could, his hands were ultimately bound by corporate red tape.

Enter ICE. After buying NYSE, they turned their Red Eye of Sauron to our little company with the intent of bleeding us out of every cent we could offer. To maximize profits, they starting cutting programs. Telecommuting? "Poor corporate citizenship". Sponsored Happy Hours? "Poor corporate citizenship". Health programs like on-site massages and yoga? "Poor corporate citizenship".

What's ICE's culture, you ask? Rounding up our salaries to the nearest whole thousand and holding our bonuses hostage in company stock that matures in 3 years. Expect to work long hours with a smile on your face. Expect end-of-day meeting invites so you've had an "opportunity to work a full day". Expect to be condescended to and have your departmental needs overlooked by a myopic and unsympathetic IT department, and upper management.

Nepotism is a huge issue in upper management; who you know is more important than what you do or contribute. Don't expect to be recognized for your achievements in any way other than e-mail.

The future of the business is uncertain as upper management tries to put together a game plan for the next year.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees' concerns: we're the people who are in the mud day to day, so ignoring our valuable insight is a great way to lose the trust and motivation of the people who work for you. Treat "transparency" as more than a buzzword. Reward your best employees with something other than complete indifference. Honor a good balance of work and life. Not every one is willing to spend 50+ hours at the office every week without being compensated or even acknowledged.

    Pros

Employee pay and benefits can be good, assuming you can get transitioned over to one of the ICE teams that has a future. There are still many smart people in development and QA, and if you have a good idea, it is possible to drive to through to implementation.

    Cons

The ICE acquisition has led to 50% staff cuts, in many cases people are being fired from NY or Chicago so they can be re-hired in Atlanta at less salary. They're loosing lots of financial experience, and expect to operate as normal. In addition, the Atlanta office is very secretive -- they will seldom call or email the "Branch" offices in NY and make bad decisions with their limited information. Dissenters who speak up are quickly fired.

    Advice to Management

Stop screwing around with employees. Every day you turn one more screw to make things more difficult, and eventually people will leave.

    Pros

Corpedia has many great employees. Almost everyone is willing to help out with projects
    401k matching
    Good healthcare plans

    Cons

Due to many recent management decisions the work environment is very negative. Many great employees are unhappy and loosing motivation because of the lack of resources and ridiculous workloads.

As mentioned in a past review, this company is very sales driven and at this moment it feels as if the company only cares about revenue which is understandable; but they are forgetting about their employees.
The frustration keeps growing creating conflicts between teams and although people have expressed their concern; HR doesn't seem to be taking any action.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees and start taking action to create a better work environment before they all decide to leave.

    Pros

Worker bees are generally smart, fun, good people.
    Events can be fun.
    Free coffee, tea, cocoa.
    401k matching
    Good healthcare plans
    Weekly on-site masseuse
    Growth industry

    Cons

Very sales-heavy organization with an emphasis on selling. Selling to NYSE, selling to ICE, selling to other mergers and acquisitions.
Very little commitment to investing in internal infrastructure, instead relying on a remote, top-heavy organization to manage vendors and what skeleton crew remains in the office.
Generally unhappy clients, which encourages finger pointing and infighting.
Working with parent company NYSE inhibits and slows every process down. Lots of red tape and hair pulling for every little request.

    Advice to Management

Stop defining the organization by advice from the outside and look within at what your own employees are saying.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

With ICE takeover, may be the management will change for the better but it will be nice if they can learn to appreciate talented employees
