I worked at Nabors Industries full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Company pays every 2 weeks good benefits, 401K, work is scattered throughout US

Work is scattered throughout US you can be working in North Dakota and then be sent to Laredo TX. Communication between office and field employees is bad. Equipment is older and needs updating.

I have been working at Nabors Industries

    Pros

Flexibility with work hours as long as you get your 8 hours a day/40 a week
Great people that are interesting to work with
Several departments and entities to work for

    Cons

Upper management does not communicate well with others
IT department lacks efficiency and has an online "ticket" system which often results in weeks going by before a problem being addressed - even if the problem is time-sensitive

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees to improve morale and team atmosphere
IT department needs new procedures and less control of system processes

I have been working at Nabors Industries

    Pros

Large company so not real worried about the floundering economy. We have a vast variety of products that some subs manufacture, but the majority of the revenue is generated by drilling.

    Cons

Work life balance is non exsistant and the insurance does not cover preventative care. Time off is allowed, but only because the state makes them. Of course it could be fro the subsidiary I personally work for, can't speak for the others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you say you are going to do something , do it and document it.
