    I have been working at National University of Singapore full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Great work environment. Good benefits. Word class colleagues. NUS is on its way to being among the very best in the world. The resources available to do research are amazing. The students are also extremely bright.

    Cons

    Can be a little bureaucratic. Lots of paper trail for everything. Much better terms for expat faculty compared to local faculty. Singaporeans do not recognize the value of this institution.

    NUS gathers the best research fellows in the world. NUS supplied many things for researchers. There are many opportunities to meet seniors from other countries.

    Cons

    Most researchers are from China. They usually work and live together. It is hard for foreigners to integrate into Chinese groups.
