    Pros

Professional Development was encouraged and supported by bringing in resources for workshops and training
The people who work there are truly the best part of Nationwide....they attract talented people who care about each other and look for ways to bring out the best in everyone

    Cons

Not a lot of cons....probably a bit top heavy in terms of people; too many higher level executives and some teams may be overburdened with workload and expected knowledge

    Pros

family like atmosphere, great work life balance, opportunity for development, better than average technology, opportunity to give your feedback to the highest levels.

    Cons

downsizing to 6 p&c locations, not allowing some employees to work from home instead of moving, constant requests to help nationwide hire employees even though my own job is being eliminated

    Advice to Management

Take a look at your highest performing employees in all 13 existing p&c locations and consider letting a portion of them work from home instead of moving to 6 p&c regional locations. Why spend the time and money hiring people off the street when you have valuable employees who are 10 times better.

    Pros

It's a great company to work for especially if you are mobile. They give you plenty of training for your position and are very supportive of development.

    Cons

If you are in a small regional office there are not as many opportunities for advancement as there are a lot of long-term seat warmers in leadership. Many of the regional offices are on a schedule to close in the future.

    Advice to Management

Take better advantage of your talent pool.

Friendly management and coworkers. I enjoyed the work, it is fast pace so the time goes by fast. It's a friendly social work environment.

    Cons

Pay is at the low end for associate claims adjusters. I did not like working the weekends nor working past 5:30 pm.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice for management. All the managers there, at the time, were nice and helpful. They participate in making the work environment friendly and supportive.
