    Pros

Large company with many areas to work

    Cons

Too many longer term employees that had "survived" and would not make a decision in fear of losing their job. No one wanted to be responsible so decisions got made by committee or not at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house. buy out the old school and start with new people. all the products are new but the old people are still around.

I worked at Navistar full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of things to learn. One of most complex products on the mark.
You have to challenge yourself since the training is almost un existing or superficial at best.

    Cons

Lot's of lazy people. OT is expected but not payed. Management has the vision of a snail.
People quit everyday. Have never seen a fast revolving door like here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Outsource the management. That will reduce the head count by more than 35%.

I have been working at Navistar full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Navistar has struggled but have always kept a good mission in mind. The pay is decent and at least in my position the work load is not overwhelming most the time. The flexible professional ours and availbility to work from home when needed is great. Tuition reimbursement ins't great but it is very helpful.

    Cons

They are located in Chicago land and i don't care for it here. They have built a trend of hiring from out side instead of creating growth in promoting qualified people within.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote from within when possible. Alot of people are leaving due to lack of growth oportunities.
