    I worked at Neopost

    Pros

International Company makes downturns in individual markets less likely to impact the overall company. Has considerable financial strength and a good reputation in the market, especially in Europe.

    Cons

Serious lack of communication between business units. This often results in unit managers making decisions that benefit one unit but are detrimental to the rest of the company. Is old school with some senior employees unwilling to consider fresh approaches to the market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider taking the best of Neopost (and now absorbed Hasler) and making a corporate culture that takes the lead away from Pitney Bowes rather than being satisfied with the crumbs from Pitney's table.

    Pros

    Work life balance is great
    Freedom
    Friendships are lengthy
    Generals trips are awesome

    Cons

    Boys group
    Lack of true progression strategy
    Guaranteed salary
Rtm rolling three month commission plan
    Future of industry

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Essentially neopost are fortunate for the people they have whom are all there for the right reasons. Unfortunately Aust neopost has 2 key challenges. Exceptionally low base, highly disproportionate to a professional modern sales company and management needs to stop dangling a golden carrot of career progression that has no roadmap or strategy to support the empty promise

    Pros

Company that values the people who works for it. Président always talks about how important people is. Industry with only two players that facilitate the sales.

    Cons

Managers are not great leaders. Most are not at the right place. Few career opportunities. Global company that doesn't want their employees to go outside canada. Mailing industry declining but unable to shift from traditional hardware sale to software solutions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in people. Great sales reps can't see themself growing with that level of individuels.

Former Employee - Sales Executive in London, England (UK)

    I worked at Neopost

    Pros

    - Good Training,
    - If you have the right manager then Good Support,
    - If you have a central london patch then you can earn a lot of money,
    - Product and Service is much better then Arch Rival

    Cons

    - Disturbingly high staff turnover in my one year there most of the 24 salespeople in my office left,
    - Product and Services are chronically over priced,
    - Only sell franking machines whilst arch rival is selling everything else too from stationary to copiers,
    - Targets are unrealistic, in the monthly management meetings i only ever saw a handfull of people hit target (intrestingly they have a central london patch)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Stop loosing your best sales executives to rivals by increasing the basic,
    - Sell more than just franking machines, as the industry will continue to decline,
    - Change target system,

salary and good relationship with my direct management

    Cons

le marché est en phase de mûrissement, ce qui veut dire que de grandes révolutions sont à venir, parce que l'entreprise doit repenser toute sa stratégie d'affaires pour rester rentable

the market is on it maturation stage, which means that great revolution is to come, for the company has to rethink is whole business strategy to stay profitable

    Pros

Petite entreprise dans laquelle tous les employés, quel que soit leur niveau, sont en contact avec les décideurs. Des gens bien qui s'investissent dans leur travail. B2B est en compétition avec peu de concurrents et il y a plein d'opportunités d'évoluer.

Small company with access at all levels to decision makers. Good people who care about their jobs. B2B industry player with few competitors and plenty of transformative opportunites.

    Cons

La vision et l'action ne sont globalement pas cohérentes. La structure organisationnelle ne favorise pas le changement. Les employés s'investissent de moins en moins et s'engagent peu dans le développement actuel.

Vision and action are not consistent globally. The organization structure does not encourage change. Employees are increasingly disengaged, with little investment in ongoing development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tournez-vous vers l'avenir en vous focalisant sur le développement salarial et le management global. Investissez dans des structures commerciales back-end qui soient actuelles, évolutives et localisables. Pensez le changement comme l'héritage que vous lai

Look to the future through employee development and global management practices. Invest in back-end business structures that are current, scalable, and localizable. Embrace change as the legacy you will leave behind when you retire in the next few years.
