    Exhausting

    District Sales Leader (Former Employee)

ProsThe people were great, the work kept you busy and the ability to own what you do was fabulous.

ConsLow pay for the work you do, advancement is based on relationships not your body of work and the expectations are unrealistic.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees and give all internal employees the ability to interview for open positions that they qualify for.

    Sad place to work

Marketing Associate (Current Employee) Glendale, CA

Prosdecent salary, however, contractors make significantly less

Consno growth, people do not get promoted, and if they do they remain in their position for 10+ years. contractors are treated less than, charged more in cafeteria, must pay for parking.. ridiculous! and more in the Nestle store. new policy - if contractors forget their badge they must accompanies in and out of their floor. crazy! Contractors are expected are overworked, but do not receive overtime.

Overall, its good experience because as a marketer you end up touching every element of the business. people are nice.

Advice to Senior Managementrespect and value your employees, even contractors. If you treat contractors as lower-class citizens you should also lower your expectations.

    Good Internship Experience

Assistant Brand Manager (Intern) (Former Employee)

ProsAs a brand marketing intern you experience a lot of great activities and get to do a variety of things outside the office.

ConsThe environment is obviously very competitive especially among brand managers. One manager was even on pregnancy leave and well past her due date but came to a meeting anyway because she felt threatened by a younger manager. That level of competitiveness is unnecessary and unproductive

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate more of a team environment so people work towards the same goal and not against each other. At the end of the day you will likely make more money if everyone wants to work for the good of the company and not to win a personal rivalry.

An historic company and great place to work however there is room for improvement

Engineering Associate (Current Employee) Saint Louis, MO

ProsThe Flexible work schedule, Benefits, 401K, Healthcare, Pets in the work place

ConsPay Incentives, Promotions/Advancement, Annual Salary Increases

Advice to Senior ManagementThere needs to be a better structure in place for retaining the workforce and making sure people are being paid what they should be - a yearly review - if someone is underpaid for their position then make the adjustment and pay them what they should be making. If a person out performs others in the job performance and skill set then reward them - a blanket salary increase that is the same across the board is not a reward for the same work done. In addition follow a succession plan that someone can work towards - our workforce is getting older and more people will be retiring - get the people on board that are looking for advancement and bring them along rather than wait till someone leaves the company and have to go through a hiring process and start from ground zero.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
