    Pros

    The pros of this company is great because as an employee you have medical benefits ,many school related vacations during the year. paid sick days and personal .

    Cons

    The cons are that sometimes you are working for many years with out a contract . Other times you have long mandatory hours in addition to your regular work day.

    The company has great compensation which is geared towards your years and experience in area of expertise.
    values include some times this company will put people that don't match with overall population .

    time-off policy is excellent education opportunities are great. Some of the people are crazy.

    Pros

    Great opportunity to make an impact on the largest public school system in the US. People are ex-educators and care about the work they do.

    Cons

    leadership takes a heavy hand in unwarranted promotions often tried with cronyism. The DOE makes little effort to employee anything but lifers (waiting on a pension) and individuals who peacock to get promotion and political recognition
