It has been a wonderful experience so far.

Art and Art History Teacher (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsI get to work with New York City youth and teach something that I love. The school I work for supports the arts, the faculty are kind, and the students receive well-rounded educations.

ConsI do not work full-time, I am a maternity leave replacement, so my position is time limited. I wish I can stay there longer because I love teaching at the school so much.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I'm a Assistant Music Teacher, teaching kids how to play various musical instruments in a Marching Band

Assistant Music Teacher (Current Employee) Bronx, NY

ProsYou get to meet teenagers and find ways to help them with music and personnel problems that they may have. It's not easy being a teacher, but it feels great when you can teach them something.

ConsYou have a lot of things against you, MP3 players, games, cell phone these devices are great, but not in schools while you're trying to learn something new.

Advice to Senior ManagementI happy to say that its not a easy job working for the Board of Education, but it's important to help them help others, especially kids, it's my honor to work with them, it's sad that it couldn't be on a full time basics, but part time is a blessing for now.
