    Pros

They pay well to lure you into the company and benefits are descent. Standard corporate vacation days. They give you summer Friday's.

    Cons

I would not recommend anyone working in this catty and poisonous environment. Product and direction looks old and cheap. HR interviews, but does not hire. HR acts very inappropriately, will make you upset and is extremely political. New hires are thrown into a pit of fire. It is a revolving door. The only people who are successful there are people who have been there for 5+ years and will probably find it hard to find a new job afterwards because no other retail company will want to see product that is the lowest of low. Layoffs are frequent. Sales are flat or down every week which makes everyone in panic mode at all times. The stores are messy and outdated. Only old ladies shop there. Leadership team including VP's are mean, harass and are condescending towards their employees. They comment on how you dress, use bad language and use curse words towards their employees. Stock shares are under $5 for the past 10 years and are now under $3. Several people I've worked with who also left the company called me right after to tell me they had the same bad experience at corporate from other departments. It is not worth it. Find another job and save yourself the time.

    Advice to Management

Needs to better partner with the CEO and push for newer ideas without being so scared to speak up. Needs to come up with a solid strategy to move the brand to look like competitors. The direction it is going in is only headed for bankruptcy.

    Pros

My coworkers! I have learned a lot ( i.e. Handling customer issues, multi tasking, and stress management).

    Cons

BEWARE!!!!!!! No breaks, constantly having to help other stores, CREDIT CARDS, upper mismanagement, promotional changes numerous times a week (the entire store), outdated policies & misleading coupons! High employee turnover (lower and upper management). As an assistant you will do 90% of the management workload for half the pay. If you do not open enough credit cards you will be threatened and eventually written up. No balance between work and personal life

    Advice to Management

STOP with "NY deal" and coupons! Don't preach customer first, but yet continue upset your customers and have your management at the front lines of your mistakes! Have more respect for your employees- it insults our intelligence and talent. Lastly, do not set your stores up for failure and then blame the us, the stores. Invest money into your product (training, store upkeep, and clothing).

    Pros

The discount that you get on clothes is great after your 60 day waiting period

    Cons

No work life balance Unrealistic expectations Poor communication Terrible benefits Unrealistic bonus potential Lack of technology Not tolerant of diversity

    Advice to Management

Spend more time in the stores speaking to the management to get honest feedback, there is no opportunity to discuss the issues we are facing with out fear of retaliation

    Pros

They pay you well to get you to come to their organization but that is it.

    Cons

The worst company to ever work for. They are always conducting lay offs and restructuring which doesn't say anything good about this company. Headquarters management is the worst I have seen in all my years in the industry. They are so cheap and have no budgets to do you job effectively.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the C level management because they don't know how to run a company. This company has a horrible reputation in the industry and I didn't find out until it was to late.

Discount...Sometimes you get 50% off or items at a low price.

    Cons

Corporate (expects you to change a sale when they snap their fingers!) Management Hours

    Advice to Management

Stop being so mean to your employees...they keep the store running!

    Pros

Possibly the hours and coworkers. Not too many pros working for this horrible company

    Cons

Everything else. Customers, management and the amount of work for the little bit of pay they give you. You don't get a schedule until Sunday of that week , no direct deposit and you can't even view pay stubs online ! I was not used to that

    Advice to Management

Learn to talk nicer to your associates; they are not your kids !
