Former Employee – worked at Next Level Games as a contractor for less than a year

ProsNLG is a fantastic studio that makes great games. They treat their employees right, and it really shows in how happy everyone is to come to work everyday.

ConsThey are a smallish studio, and they keep it that way by hiring the "extra" people on contract. This also means no vacation, benefits or sick days for those on contract. It's hard to get fulltime work here, which is too bad.

Current Employee – been working at Next Level Games

ProsIn an industry often criticized for its poor work/life balance, Next Level Games stands as a shining example of how to do it right. This, along with open communication, leadership and respect forms the core foundations of the company culture, which is actively encouraged in all employees. Information and skills are shared, and skill development is important at Next Level. Generally speaking, employees seem happy to be with the company. Plus, you get to work on great games instead of endless sequels.

ConsSalaries at Next Level Games are par for the games industry, meaning software engineers can expect to be paid below the average for the software industry in general.

Advice to Senior ManagementNone. Senior management is competent and cordial.
