I worked at Niagara Bottling full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The company treated me well.

    Cons

The last Plant Director they hired for the Phoenix plant let me go without a reason. I reduced costs by 1.2 million and elevated the plant to the second lowest cost per case and made it possible to justify adding a third line. I developed the documentation and job aids for all processes and procedures. This became the standard for the company. I handled all training and Six Sigma. The company allowed him to let me go. The previous Plant Director rated my performance as exceeds expectations. Since I was at will employment, he did not need a reason but after four years and what I did for the company I deserved some consideration, at least a notice as to what I needed to do to improve.

I worked at Niagara Bottling full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You learn Oracle which is where you will be mostly working from. This job is fast paced and constantly changing due to supply and demand and season.

    Cons

Management does not know how to use Oracle and does not understand why things are done or not. There is no effective communication between the management and their workers.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to do the job you want us to do and establish a clear line of communication so that everyone is WELL AWARE of their duties and responsibilities.

I have been working at Niagara Bottling full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with and the machines are state of the art. They say that they have a lot of opportunities to advance so thats a plus.

    Cons

Seems to me that they're understaffed so they have just 2 operators running an entire line, which can get very hectic at times. the pay could be a little better also because those employees earn every penny that they make.

    Advice to Management

Their should be 2 operators for the wet side and 2 operators for the dry side to make things less hectic.

I have been working at Niagara Bottling full-time

    Pros

The pay is okay. You do get annual raises but they are not particularly based on individual performance. The raises are based more on the plants over all performance.

    Cons

Upper management basically runs things with out regarding what is truly best. The is little opportunity to move up unless you are well liked by the people in charge.

    Advice to Management

Take into consideration what the opinion of the employees are. People should get to move up based on merit rather than popularity. Also, for a company that focuses on being healthy and the community around the plants, it could do a better job at recycling because each plant generates an insane amount of waste that can be recycled.

I have been working at Niagara Bottling full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

What I like about Niagara is that the company is always providing employees with small incentives, such as gift cards & dinners. They also try to foster a work family environment and enjoys creating friendly competition. The pay is not the worst but should be higher.

    Cons

Some challenges of working at Niagara is the inability to retain employees. They work the employees that are staying too much. The schedule is 2-2-3 12 hr shifts and too cover the lack there is mandatory overtime on days off. Many work 6-7 12 hr days. and if someone is late or calls in they are given points. These points do not roll off for a year. The other problem is the miscommunication of management. It seems they often do not know what they are doing one hour to the next. Warehouse system is constantly going down & tracking product is difficult

    Advice to Management

Listen to veterans of industry. Implement a different hiring practice and attendance policy. Investigate and determine causes of high employee turnover
