    Cons

Worked all day doing my job subbing for others when they were out and did more than was expected with no appreciation.

I have been working at Nissan full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Leased vehicles. That's it at this point.

    Cons

The best days as a place employees enjoy and are proud to work at are long gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's all about saving a dime at the expense of quality and the employees. Unqualified people are promoted through the "good ol boy network." I used to love working here about 10-15 years ago. Management cared about employees then and actual knew what they were doing. The new style of management here are arrogant and pompous and unqualified.

I worked at Nissan as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Steady hours, decent pay, mostly-friendly people, not difficult work at all, decent atmosphere

    Cons

Peter Principle management, takes years to go from Temp hire to full-time, strict no overtime policy, "fun" activities are suitable for elementary-school kids

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When promoting employees, look past tenure and look at potential.

    Pros

you make friends with the other misreable coworkers.

    Cons

The managers expect so much yet refuse to pay a tad over minimum wage.
The bosses and managers have personal relationships with coworkers and favor some over others, creating unjust "hookups" with deals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a hold of your company and run it with integrity.

I worked at Nissan full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Paid overtime (and plenty of it).
Good overall package (car lease scheme, sickness benefits, private health care).
    Flexible working (depending on team).
    Training and development.
    Easily accessible.

    Cons

Basic salary lower than comparable (less stressful) jobs at local companies.
    Pension below industry standard.
Management expect too much from staff.
Salary progression (linked to performance) woeful - no real reason to perform.
The staff with a "can-do" attitude are loaded with work while the work-shy manage to avoid big projects / tasks.
Insufficient funds made available for projects.
Ageing plant and equipment - too much asked of 20 year old + equipment.
Excessive amounts of overtime to meet project deadlines and production schedule.
No real sense of comradery between staff / departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the right money to attract suitable staff and hold on to your existing staff (your biggest asset!).

I worked at Nissan full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good amount of learning, its a growing company especially with new launches, the company seems to heading to further growth.

    Cons

Lacks vision, management is short sighted, don't seem to be looking at the big picture. Too much process driven sometimes defying logic. Work life balance is completely missing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A happy employee makes a happy company and leads to delightful customers. Ensuring employees are happy, their families are happy and have a good work life balance. Aim for your employees waking up on a Monday morning and looking forward to go to office.
