ProsImmediate supervisors support a work home life. There is no pressure from immediate supervisors to put your work before your family.

ConsThey do not give goals of career advancement. If employees show interest in advancing their careers and pursue their interest many times they are ignored.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide clear career advancement options for each job title and position. Each employee needs to feel they are appreciated and valued by the immediate supervisors up to the Vice Presidents.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Great Company

Project Assistant (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsGreat company, with strong core values and mission. The company is forward thinking in terms of business and personal. Cares tremendously about personal growth.

ConsI live outside of Houston, so my commute is awful. It takes 45- 1.5 hours one way.

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer more classes/courses about industry for lower entry positions.

One of the best experiences I have had in my career!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsCulture and the opportunity to learn. I never feel as if I cannot go on vacation and when I do, I know my manager will be there to support me. The communication I have with my manager is constant and so our lines of communication are always open. This is MOST important to me particularly because my manager does not sit here.

It has also never been an issue to seek out training not offered by the company. This is important in order for me to expand my career and I couldn't be happier!

Finally, "Energizing the World, Bettering People's Lives" is Noble's motto and they stand behind it!

ConsTechnology is some what of a challenge at times.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep on communicating at all levels and Houston managers who do not visit often enough, visit more. Not an issue with my manager though!

Lloyd Noble would be embarrassed of this business unit.

    Title (Current Employee) Canonsburg, PA

ProsMoney. That's really all I can say. Money and Benefits

ConsArrogant managers, key personnel with lack of applicable experience. Some of the long time employees demonstrate what this business unit should be. Every time upper management comes to town it's a dog and pony show.

Advice to Senior ManagementSmoke and mirrors only go so far. Teach a class on ETHICS since 90 percent of the people here lack them.

lots of opportunity to make things happen

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Proslots of management face time, fast paced, top management gives some thought about employees, financially well managed, opportunity for advancement as company grows

ConsIT very inefficient and can make getting work done frustrating. But, management would rather put money into employee bomuses than top notch IT

Advice to Senior Managementwatch out for brewing turf wars between biz units

Don't Expect to Move up the Ladder in Supply Chain quickly

Procurement Agent (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsYou will wear a lot of hats and have a lot of responsibility.

ConsNoble is very old school - they hesitate in promoting their own people.

Supportive, knowledgement and hands-on upper management but not a micromanagement shop

Land and Title (Current Employee) Canonsburg, PA

ProsEthical company and management which demonstrates respect for its people and contractors, and for continued solid hard work, diligence and productivity.

ConsToo many employees and supervisors goofing off most of the day and creating problems in business unit morale and workflow. Too much reporting in one area but not enough in other sections. Some supervisors don't know what they need to know to help with questions.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagers need to crack down on employees and supervisors who are not putting in a full days' work - demoralizing and distracting to employees who are working, especially when the ones not working are in a supervisory position. Too much talking, personal internet usage, griping and egos wanting to be promoted without doing what they were hired to do now. Better screening or interviewing of candidates' experience and references is needed to be sure that new hires actually know what they say they know. Too many emplohyees leaving the office for golf outings or rig tours and leaving work undone.

Great Company, Solid Financials, Hard To Move Ahead

Land Negotiator (Current Employee) Canonsburg, PA

ProsGood Pay, Good People, Well Established, Strong (Financially) Company, Challenging Work with Chances for Additional Responsibilities.

ConsSeemingly insurmountable caste system where promotion is attained through attrition rather than performance.

Advice to Senior ManagementEncourage and promote based on performance and not "years in the business".
