Great company to work for!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Noble Energy full-time for more than 5 years

ProsNoble invests in people, provides with good career opportunities and understands that the key to their success is the close contact between senior management with employees, and leaving the door open for suggestions, constructive criticism and breakthrough ideas.

ConsVery fast pace environment in the international BU... Very good for those up for the challenge, not so good if you are not too proactive.

Advice to Senior ManagementAs they grow and develop outside the US is vital for them to also incorporate non-US talent into their headquarters. It is always good to have a different point reference to help globalization plans.

Proslots of management face time, fast paced, top management gives some thought about employees, financially well managed, opportunity for advancement as company grows

ConsIT very inefficient and can make getting work done frustrating. But, management would rather put money into employee bomuses than top notch IT

Great Company, Solid Financials, Hard To Move Ahead

Land Negotiator (Current Employee)
Canonsburg, PA

I have been working at Noble Energy full-time for more than a year

ProsGood Pay, Good People, Well Established, Strong (Financially) Company, Challenging Work with Chances for Additional Responsibilities.

ConsSeemingly insurmountable caste system where promotion is attained through attrition rather than performance.

Advice to Senior ManagementEncourage and promote based on performance and not "years in the business".

I'm content with the company

Land Coordinator (Current Employee)

I have been working at Noble Energy

ProsEven though the company is growing by leaps and bounds, management within the Denver office seems to take the time to acknowledge individual employees. Within my department, we have managed to keep the small company atmosphere.

ConsSome department managers seem somewhat abrasive and uncaring. As the company grows more procedures and processes are implemented that take away from the actual "work time". Too much time is spent filling out forms. Along with this, employees are being compartmentalized. They do their one piece of the process and pass it along for the next piece and don't get enough exposure to see the big picture.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay attention to moral within some departments. Top management needs to be more in tune with how employees feel that they are treated.
