I have been working at Noble Energy full-time

    Pros

Noble is good to their people. Management is open to new ideas and encourages change.

    Cons

As with any company this size, there are inefficiencies that still need to be worked out. Some departments have too much staff, others suffer from a lean staff.

    Advice to Management

There are a good number of excellent ideas that are rushed with poor execution. Encourage taking the time to execute with perfection. Excellent ideas plus good execution equals game changer...

    Pros

Josh Shine and Jesse Hernandez are 2 of the best Men I have worked for in my 27 year oil and gas career in Wheeling West Virginia. The 2 Gentlemen posses great leadership skills and I would be delighted to work for them again.

    Cons

Some of the locations are very remote.

    Advice to Management

Keep Gentlemen like Josh and Jesse employed and you will be successful on their projects.

I have been working at Noble Energy as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The work hours are good, standard Friday's are a half day so the rest of the week is a little long. Great activity encouragement to engage in healthy activities and give back to the community. Room to contribute to the team.

    Cons

No family leave time. Need more female managers, kind of an old boy's club. Competent female manger passed over and given 4 new male bosses while she does all the work.

    Advice to Management

Consider reviewing existing employees for management

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Great company, dynamic environment, fast moving development, many opportunities

    Cons

Fast development sometimes also means people not capable of performing job get promoted, accomplishing things fast doesn't always mean doing them right, lots of "who you know" politics

    Advice to Management

Management is doing a fantastic job in this dynamic environment.

I have been working at Noble Energy as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

TEAM is key to success, this company utilizes that motto to a tee Friendly/helpful employees/positive office culture Involvement Great compensation plan Growing company always with room for advancement Knowledgeable co-workers Every day is something different

    Cons

I cannot think of any, besides when you are in a contract position, you don't have the opportunity to be a part of all activities/outings.

I have been working at Noble Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay/benefits. Good office environment - nice/likable coworkers - minimal politics. Growing company with a lot going on and company will find a way to utilize your talent. Many intelligent and dedicated employees operating under solid executive leadership. Would recommend without hesitation.

    Cons

More competent employees end up working hard while less competent can often get a pass. Performance review system is subpar to non-existent. Result - fair amount of dead wood among rank and file employees. Something of a good old boy's club at upper levels of management that facilitates advancement (not necessarily gender specific) - but less prevalent than I've seen at other places.
