Used to be very good Technology Company..............

Solution Manager (Former Employee) Irving, TX

ProsIf you are a manager then this is the company for you and you can plan your retirement from here.

ConsYour manager is your god. He is the one who will make or break your future in NSN. No accountability of Line/Resource Managers.
It is a company focussed on Managers. No value of skills. There EES are fake and Ethics are low. Probably worst in North America.

Advice to Senior ManagementValue people and try to make your managers work. You cannot succed with only having managers on board. Dont Outsource the technology.

    Tier3 NOC, Tier1 treatment

Transport NCC Analyst (Former Employee) Gardner, KS

ProsNever had to work any forced overtime, got decent lunch breaks

ConsHad a system in place like you would see in in a Tier1, customer focused call center. If I'm doing the highest level troubleshooting available within the company on this equipment, I don't need you tracking my potty breaks.

Advice to Senior ManagementLast I heard, most everyone who was there when I was there a few years back has left... which I think speaks for itself.

    Toxic work environment.

Technical Support Engineer (Current Employee) Irving, TX

ProsEasy job and have the chance to learn.

ConsVery bad management and bad HR. Fire the entire corrupt and utterly useless HR, and get some talented people on board.

Advice to Senior ManagementChange ASAP, otherwise loss more and more customers, next Nortel soon.

No longer cares about its employees

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsPay and benefits are good

ConsIt is now all about making money and no longer about having a good work-life-balance. They will bleed you dry and then lay you off. They now have what is called a Needs Improvement competitive mindset, where they make it so that no one shares information or knowledge just to remain employed. No longer work as a team or support each other. More like work till you can't work no more and you have to leave. So much has changed, and not for the better. So many have left on their own to try and find a more caring company.

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn to appreciate your employees. Don't make it so they have to compete with each other for their jobs, then you have no collaboration. People are so unmotivated and unhappy.

    Unethical Employer

Finance Manager (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

    ProsGood people, decent work/life balance

ConsCompany Policy is to suck up and screw down. Customers and suppliers are courted and helped wherever possible while employees are kept as low as possible, no raises, not even to cover inflation, a bonus policy that hardly ever pays what was promised and when separating from employees the full letter of the law is enforced with no consideration to tenure and achievements

    Advice to Senior ManagementChange!

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Boca Raton, FL

    Prosthe telecom technology is exciting

    Consweak senior management
