    Pros

  2.

Has lost direction over the last 3 years. Wants to be a center of excellence, isn't... Hates being a KPO, which it is.

I have been working at Nomura Holdings full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Many Ops and IT processes supporting the regions are carried out here - although difficult to move around a lot, one can get a good exposure of the support teams across products and lines of business.

    Cons

Nomura as a firm is in a difficult situation of losing shareholder confidence; the Lehman acquisition was not a good move. It has cost the firm 5 years and a lot of wasted time and effort (in trying to make erstwhile lehman employees work like japanese do).
Today, the India (Powai) office has about 3000 employees who support globally shrinking businesses. It is a good place for freshers to come in and learn how an IB works, but for experienced folks, there is limited growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None as you know what's going on but you choose to ignore it.

I worked at Nomura Holdings full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - Great facilities on-site (well maintained building, concierge, cheap food, gym, etc)
    - Most people are very helpful, integration can go smoothly

    Cons

    - Work is extremely bland, with almost nobody interested in what they're doing, it's just "get it out of the door"
    - Extremely high attrition rate on some teams (related to first con)
    - Very unbalanced workload, inefficient task division and internal processes

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please ensure that you focus on an overarching vision that all your employees are aware of and keep your employees happy professionally with meaningful tasks and fair cross-regional task division and communication as well as awareness across the layers of the organisation.
