“Avoid this IT Department if you are a Senior RPG Software Developer.”
Former Employee – worked at Northern Tool full-time for more than a year
Pros – If you consider a paycheck a Pro...then this job is for you.
Cons – Managers are over payed OLD RPG Programmers. If they do not like you...they will walk you out the door. This is a Sink or Swim shop...so swim at your own risk. Absolutely NO communication between management and subordinates. I went to ask a programmer a question one day and found out that they had quit over a month ago...are you kidding me?
Advice to Senior Management – Hire some REAL managers that have some people skills.

“Good in the beginning, sucks in the end”
Former Employee – worked at Northern Tool
Pros – Meeting and working with a diverse group of customers.
The hours sometimes were not the greatest but you made do.
Cons – Management has no idea what is going on
Some people too busy trying further personal relationships.
Too busy trying to through people under to bus
Advice to Senior Management – Stop lying to your employees and treat them with some respect.
Fire some of your knucklehead managers.
Get rid of the regional managers
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
