    Pros

training modules on parts- you can always learn something

    Cons

Poor pay, not enough hours, unreliable, not a good company to advance with on the retail end

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your employees a little better with policies; if someone is being harassed don't focus on finding a different way to fire the harasser- fire them for harassment instead of worrying if they'll receive unemployment benefits from the company.

    Pros

Friendly Staff, Great parts and pricing!

    Cons

Won't give people full time, The Manager refuses to stay for his whole shift! Won't give me full time and to top it all off my whole check goes to just gas!!! I don't live close to my store at all!!! They won't transfer me to a closer store or even give me a pay rase. If your not over 23 don't bother applying at the Cottage Grove Store the manager will refuse to hire you! Never get time that i request off and no weekends off! Don't make plans if you work here they will call you in all the time!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I believe in the O'Reilly values and love to company but please take some more time to make sure you put the right people in management!

    Cons

low pay when you first start, get a lot of butt chewings by customers, customers don't typically come in the door already happy, managers work every other Saturday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay low level guys more money with more bonuses, more sales contests for employees, price match oil & freon

    Pros

Great company and culture. Good ability to move up in company as a career. Good benefits

    Cons

HR Department Management has rigid expectations when it comes to the workload and commensurable pay. While they have a good corporate culture, they place too much emphasis on you conforming to their identity instead of having balance. They should recognize more the strengths and experience of their employees to catapult the organization further instead of stifling the input of those with credible outside experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize the strengths of others as a way to leverage manpower, foster creativity, and build ownership.

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Working in Corporate Office you have pretty good job security and it's fairly laid back depending on who your boss is.

    Cons

Insurances is expensive and not that great, depending on your position you can get good raises but that seems to be an exception not a rule. In the IS department most of the senior level positions are filled with people that aren't qualified for the job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Higher qualified senior level people
