Former Employee – worked at OGE Energy full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Some very nice, hardworking people, at least at my site.

Cons – Not much room for advancement, "slot blocking".

Advice to Senior Management – Pay attention to your newly hired professionals. Don't allow them to become stuck in remote locations with little interaction with other professionals.

Pros – Great people to work for & with. Decent compensation. The compensation isn't bad for a company this size.

Cons – People across groups are resistant to working with each other and tend to be very set in their ways. Growth and change tends to be very slow. While there are many regulatory reasons not to let certain groups work together, this company seems to have embraced the concept in most departments.

Advice to Senior Management – Work on getting people to accept and champion change. Additionally, promote working effectively between groups to gain much needed efficiency.

Pros – Great co-workers! Everyone is like a family once you get in. The 401K Matching is 150% which is lovely and Team$hare is great!. If you are into community service they give you paid hours and plenty of opportunity.

Cons – Management is basically like a high school click. (Watch Means Girls and that's how management is ran.) Some people will train you but most won't and they don't care. Also some people are very unprofessional in management.

Advice to Senior Management – Take a class on what is a leader v. manager and you should be more of a leader....

Cons – Unpredictable, never know what's going to happen. Several reorgs.
