I have been working at Oil States International

    Pros

The pay is decent at start. Everyone is friendly. Most positions almost never require working on the weekends. Good place to get your foot in the door for a welding or machining career.

    Cons

Most advancements go to family or friends of a handful of management employees. Most managers have not earned, nor deserve their positions. Low pay increases without advancing to another position (Max of 4 percent yearly based on biased performance reviews). Childish politics. No bonuses except for upper level management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to those who are working, not those who do nothing all day except sit in your office shooting the breeze and pretending to be your friend in hopes of advancement (seems to work for them though).

I worked at Oil States International full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people I use to work with were awesome

    Cons

Too Many Chiefs and not enough Indians. Upper management does what it wants no matter if its wrong or right.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the people that do make a differnce and those in upper management that don't and give the company a bad name.

    Cons

High stressfull situations most of the time ,the shedule hours are horrible from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
and if sometimes u dont get enough sleep when u work late

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

my advice would be to stop pressuring us to hurry when working ,also it causes high stress on us therefore nobody likes to work there, and for last yall need to fire all the people who dont work good and do 2 many mistakes ,
