I loved working here!!! If you want a career in retail, there's no better place to be.

Sales Associate (Former Employee) San Marcos, TX

ProsGreat discounts at the entire Gap Inc. family, fun atmosphere, the best customer service training in the industry, a quality product you can really stand behind, amazing coworkers and management, opportunities for advancement.

ConsIt is difficult to be full time, especially during slower periods. Peak periods can be fast paced and chaotic (this was a pro for me, I loved it)

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work!

Old Navy is a great place to work.

    Sellebrity (Current Employee) Visalia, CA

ProsThe staff are all willing to help you learn new things. The management team at my store is great. They are willing to train you and if and when you make a mistake, they do not chastise you or make you feel stupid. The discount is also great and is not just for your store but for the sister stores as well.

ConsThe ONC pressure. Each store has a quota for the Old Navy Credit Cards. It's not always easy to meet the weekly quota.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunication is key. The leadership at the Visalia, Ca store is wonderful.

    Amazing company to work for

Store Manager (Former Employee) Indianapolis, IN

ProsThey spend time focusing on their people. Development is important on a day to day basis! They make sure to give payroll for training, their operational processes are excellent, time is given for every task, upper management is very aware of the store needs and do a great job at balancing the daily tasks.

ConsNo issues, great company, they care about their people.

Advice to Senior ManagementGreat company, I wish I never had to leave.

Great benefits; upper field leadership is missing the mark.

Assistant Store Manager of Merchandising (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsThe full-time benefits (i.e. health insurance and paid-time off) are top notch. It can be an enjoyable place to work depending on your management team.

ConsFor management, work-life balance is a struggle. The company changes direction too often and leaves field leaders confused and seemingly incompetent. They pride themselves on career development for their internal employees, however, Market Leaders (District Managers) are quick to hire inexperienced applicants from the outside. Accountability is not shared throughout the leadership team and roles/responsibilities are too intertwined and passive.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to concerns from the field and stop passing things on to HR managers who have built-in bias and are more like legal representation for Market Leaders and Store Managers.

Cashier/Sales Associate (Current Employee) Niagara Falls, NY

Prosvery friendly atmosphere, good pay, good breaks and holiday pay. I remember it being fun and kind of like just hanging out. great job for high school/college or a second job if you are looking for easy labor

Cons4 of the 6 months I worked there we had no GM. it was a random fluke that the GM had hired me and retired the same week. the other managers were a little disorganized and it seemed like there was no one actually in charge
