    Pros

Are willing to work with your schedule, friendly environment to work in. There to guide you with everything. Love working here

    Cons

They are sometimes short on staff and you have to help your coworkers with their sections but that's apart of being a team. So really there is no cons

    Advice to Management

Only advice is to be patient with new employees. When I first started working there I was moving slow and I could tell I was annoying them.

    Pros

ANYONE WHO SAYS THAT THERE IS NO ROOM FOR ADVANCEMENT IS EITHER NOT PUTTING IN THE EFFORT TO DO THEIR JOB WELL OR ISN'T PUTTING FORTH THE EFFORT TO LOOK FOR THOSE OPPORTUNITIES. Opportunity for advancement, including leadership programs, development plans, and immersion programs. Recognition of results and ample learning opportunities. A great place to start a retail career. I started as a sales associate (before they were called Sellebrities) and was promoted three times, and eventually spent time as the acting Assistant Store Manager of Merchandising. Fun work environment with generous discounts across all Gap brands.

    Cons

Payroll was always difficult. Company consistently changes routine procedures so scheduling becomes difficult and lower levels in the store don't understand why management is so stressed out all the time.

    Advice to Management

I left the company because I felt our Market Leader was so concerned with her own development that she didn't care to develop her in-store talent. Upper field leaders need to understand that their stores need to succeed if they're going to succeed, and that can only be done if you spend ample time building and developing your team.
