    Pros

Good benefits, good hours, good training, company cares a lot for customers and its primary focus is growing the relationship.

    Cons

Pay is not that great, no advancement opportunities, always short staffed, and products aren't that great so sales can be a little hard to achieve.

    Advice to Management

We need more tellers, need more staff in our branches, and also promote the employees that deserve the positions and not let it take 4 months to get approved. Thank you.

    Pros

Small Bank not your Big Bank lines, customers or headaches. Newer Leadership staff and the company is soon to be merged.

    Cons

Company has the worst hiring process. It took me over 2 months thru a series of interviews. Talked to a Personal Banker it took her 3 months to get hired.

    Advice to Management

Talking points thru a merger would be great. Having associates wing it thru a conversation isn't the best thing when trying to retain clients.

    Pros

I met so many wonderful people and developed live long friendships with some of them. I still crave breakfast tacos from that taco truck that comes every morning.

    Cons

At times we worked a lot of OT and while the pay was good during that time the work-life balance was lacking. Loss Mitigation department seemed to be the revolving door as far as management goes, we had a new supervisor every year. It was like they made them "serve time" in our department before being promoted. A supervisor openly belittled employees in meetings or in private, often bringing people to tears. Don't get me wrong, I had many wonderful supervisors, this was just one of them. The bonus structure is very secretive. Bonuses are handed out on a quarterly basis and you will never receive an explanation of why you did or did not earn one because no one knows how they are calculated.

    Advice to Management

I was an IndyMac employee so I stuck with them through the FDIC takeover into the creation of OWB. I was there for a total of 6 years and was part of the massive layoff when they decided to seller their servicing portfolio, so I witnessed a lot of change and transitions in my time there. My advice to management would be to listen to your employees complaints and take action regarding their complaints. Also, I feel like they are missing out on a valuable tool with their quarterly bonus. They call it an "Incentive plan" but how is it an incentive when management cannot tell you how you earned it, or why you didn't earn it? That could be managements chance to sit down on a quarterly basis and give an employee some feedback and or constructive criticism.

    Pros

Independence and workload were great! I was able to innovate new systems and provide valuable contributions to my department(s).

    Cons

Recognition - promotion was limited because of my value. Working under a VP with no real visibility limited my opportunities to grow.

    Advice to Management

Don't "protect" your assets who are producing your quality work. Promote them and promote corporate growth... it will benefit you further than selfish ambitions.

    Pros

Decent pay, good benefits and a comfortable work environment! Lots of potlucks in the department I worked in and it felt like a family!

    Cons

The company is very secretive when it comes to important stuff. Like if you'll have a job next week or not. I saw many people come in to work and then be laid off by the end of the day with no notice. Company was sold two different times over the course of 6 years. I saw a lot of people come and go with this company!

    Advice to Management

I think upper management needs to be more open with the people that keep their company afloat!

    Pros

Hours, recent merger may lead to some new opportunities.

    Cons

Dated! A lot of department head suck in the past. Agessive sales goals, OWB will nickel and dime you to death. No tuition reimbursement, most expensive health insurance choices every little room for growth. Company does not pay for any parking expenses.

    Advice to Management

Develop a career path. Get rid of management that not have basic pc skills.

    Pros

Transferring between departments is not difficult. The work can be very interesting depending on the department. The pay is fair, mostly and management does try to promote fairly.

    Cons

Upper management seems hesitant to approve OT and promotions. Must pay for parking monthly of you work at corporate and want to drive. "Relationship Centers" are slow and do not receive many clients.
