Tons of opportunity in a bank that truly cares about their customers and following the rules!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat benefits. Strong upper management with forward thinking vision. The company knows where it wants to go and is heading in the correct direction.

ConsSome situations are handled with more fire-drill type reaction rather than being pro-active. Recent downsizing/switching business focus have left the work environment unstable with high tension.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake it easier to ensure the best people are in the job rather than the political choice.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    company sold...

    Underwriter (Former Employee) Austin, TX

ProsI really enjoyed my job, and most of the management as well. Great opportunity for advancement.

ConsAs other reviewers stated, there was a lot of favoritism. The biggest "con" is that the company sold their loans, and reverted to outsourcing. This led to a company wide lay off, which was very disappointing.

Advice to Senior ManagementNot much to give, as only a few managers left until the finalization of the lay offs. Previously, I would have suggested to offer more training to the customer service reps, and further training to most managers. A lot of them depended on tenured employees for answers.

Great environment at the branch, somewhat lacking at corporate

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsSome of the best people I have worked with and some of the best clientele I have dealt with. The company provides the opportunity to connect with the clients on a personal level and earn their business, as opposed to just sell them stuff. I enjoy my position, in my location. It may differ slightly elsewhere however.

ConsLack of direct support from the corporate level, commissions are capped and they are payed quarterly, low hourly salary wage compared to other companies such as Citi and Wells Fargo for Personal Bankers.

Advice to Senior ManagementIncrease hourly wages and offer more sales support and offer more tools to the branches to make sales

Spec II (Former Employee) Pasadena, CA

ProsGreat People to work with and for.
    Job is very easy
Department tries their best to keep things interesting
Can be promoted very easily as well as move around different departments.
    Office environment is always good.

ConsHr and Salary pay is not that great, and don't expect a raise any time soon. I didn't get a raise in over 2 years.
The Computers their are very slow and can get frustrating specially when your job is time sensitive.
If you are a people person and can make friends easily, then you will have a head start getting promoted. It doesnt matter how good you are at your job. The Bosses friends will always get promoted first in this Company.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt's better to be friends with the Boss then be good at your Job.
