I worked at OneWest Bank part-time

    Pros

Great culture and fun place to work. Fast paced environment with constant opportunities to learn and get involved. Would recommend.

    Cons

Limit opportunities after. Felt pigeon holed and confined to banking industry. Seemed as if management and junior level employees did not have same vision.

    Advice to Management

Get to know lower level employees so that there is more fluidity. Management seemed to not listen to good advice.

I worked at OneWest Bank as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

top notch supervisors and managers, superior work environment, friendly and helpful colleagues, excellent pay structure and benefits.

    Cons

None that I can think of. All aspects of my time at OneWest were great experiences to learnm, grow, think out of the box and communicate with great clients.

I have been working at OneWest Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management is very knowledgeable and experienced. They do a great job of balancing leadership and employee relationships. Good enough pay, good incentive, awesome co-workers and work environment for the most part.

    Cons

Pay could be better and is better with other companies with similar jobs. Job security is not guaranteed. Bonuses could be better.

    Advice to Management

Provide better bonuses, incentives, and compensation and there will be very little turn over. Other than that, keep up the good work!

I worked at OneWest Bank part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Like other reviews have said, they're like a startup company with very open and collaborative culture and environment. A pleasure to work with the team I was in.

    Cons

The bank is going through some changes right now with a merger and changes that will likely come due to it.

I have been working at OneWest Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, seems like during the transition from IndyMac only the best people remained. Nice work-life balance, no micromanagment. Management doing the best they can to allow you to develop yourself according to your interests.

    Cons

Conservative culture (well, it's a bank), company is still in transition from mortgage bank to commercial bank.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing in terms of employee relations. In terms of strategy, I have no idea

I have been working at OneWest Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Through the ruins of three failed Banks, out came a diamond in the rough. Joseph Otting and Steven Mnuchin have built a Senior Leadership team that set the tone for OneWest's Business Principles. OneWest is a great place to learn and grow with promotional opportunites through out the Company.

    Cons

    None that come to mind.

    Advice to Management

Consider expanding the Company's primary volunteer opportunities to organizations other than just Junior Achievement.
