Former Employee – worked at Oneida Nation full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Some very fine employees work there, but upper management rules with an iron hand. Untrustworthy!
Cons – Unethical, politically motivated, self-centered, self-serving, and a thoroughly corrupt Native American organization to work for and/or with. Cannot be trusted at any level. Cutthroat, manipulative, lying, with a slash and burn employee ideology. Untrustworthy, dishonest, internally imploding culture.
Advice to Senior Management – Clean up the mismanagement, graft, and grant corruption at the Division Director levels because the truth will eventually come out and justice will be served.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Oneida Nation
Pros – The pay is really great for only needing a high school diploma to work there. The insurance, vacation and personal time are phenomonal compared to other companies.
Cons – Lots of racism - if you're not enrolled Oneida, you don't matter. Racism is tolerated from management towards employees. There is a great deal of favoritism within departments. Unless you're enrolled Oneida, you cannot be in a supervisory position; there's absolutely no room for growth.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop thinking about how you run your business like an angry child who's upset over misdeeds done in the past. Start running it like a business with today's goals and today's needs.

Current Employee – been working at Oneida Nation
Pros – There is no micro managment in my area
You do get insurance and use of fitness center
Co-Workers are very nice and supportive. Management tries to be involved
The summer Picnic is nice option for employees that are not working that day.
Cons – The benefits are the worse I have ever had and the pay is not sufficient, as there is a lack jobs in this area they do not pay what people and the positions are worth since there is no competion and people have to take what is offer they take advantage of this.
This is not a pay performacne place, your pay is your pay not matter how good you are
You get no paid time off for a year and after a year it is not much, and forget about time off during summer or when the children are out of school
There is no room for advancement or to be challenged
If You work here your family comes second.
You get pressured to vote for their politicans and do disagree with their view
Advice to Senior Management – Stop making decisions just because. Use logic and reasoning in decisions.
Become a family oriented, pratice work life balance and there will be less turn around.
Stop worring about employees taking advantage of you if employees feel like they are not being taken advantage of by their employer then employees will not take advantage of their employer and will be have more pride. .
Provide more insurance options and FSA and HCA accounts. Sop thinking that paying $8.00 hour is good pay and people who receive tips shoud still get minimum wage.
