Good for Freshers

Senior Physical Designer (Former Employee)
Bangalore (India)

I worked at Open-Silicon full-time for more than 3 years

Pros1. Opportunity to work on different designs.
2. Can get hands on on top level work.
3 Helpful managers who are technically strong.

Cons1. Compensation is not up to mark.
2. Appraisal doesn't depend on performance, its all manger's decision though u perform or not.
3. Has strong internal politics. HR doesn't have any power.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease have strong flow for design closure and also proper policies that help employees.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

No long term plan. Only founders making money

Employee (Former Employee)
Bangalore (India)

I worked at Open-Silicon full-time for more than a year

ProsSmall company with experience in many tape-outs to many fabs

ConsNo real plan to take company to next level. Looks like only founders are making money. Top executives are poor managers. Their way of working is more suited to factory floor managers.

Advice to Senior ManagementLook inside and think for employees.
