Former Employee – worked at Orchard Supply Hardware OSH
Pros – OSH attracts lots of the older working folk, i.e. retired electricians, plumbers, lumbermen, etc to its ranks. Makes it a great place to learn from your co-workers about the basic tasks of home repair.
Cons – Like any other minimum-wage job, you don't get paid that much. And you have to deal with bad management more often then not. Overordering, etc.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep the older folk around. Seriously, they are the heart of OSH's reputation. They may work a little slower, but they can teach the young guys all there is to know about a given subject.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
