Current Employee – been working at Outback Steakhouse
Pros – you can stand behind what you're giving your guests because the food is GREAT
Cons – "no rules" is not the best philosophy - hard to be consistent with guests when management just gives picky, whiny complainers whatever they want!
Advice to Senior Management – hire a good attitude, not a snobby waitress cause she's been at it for 8 years

Former Employee – worked at Outback Steakhouse part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – easy as long as you know what you're doing. management was always very cooperative. complied with my school schedule and was very simple after a while.
Cons – only cons would simply be that it's busy and high stress at times. typical food industry job, no real huge negatives.
Advice to Senior Management – could be a little more server friendly, and tip share isn't balanced.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Outback Steakhouse part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Good money, avg $17 an hour. Schedule is easy to work around. (4-10pm usually) I have admired and learned something from every manager I have met thus far. This company definitely encourages you to move up if you have it in you. Your schedule depends on staffing and how well of a job you do. I avg. 30/wk
Cons – SUNDAYS. I don't know if Sundays are bad at every restaurant, but I feel like Sundays are especially bad. Even then, we close early, so that helps a little.
Advice to Senior Management – We don't see them much. I am not a big fan of the new "team" register option. I feel like a lot of work should be done on it, and the reading system should be explained more thoroughly in training, or at least to a designated person that can explain when something is puzzling.

Cons – They'll want you to work weekends and holidays- restaurants never get a day off!
Advice to Senior Management – If you don't make employees stick to the rules customers will notice and you will look bad.

Former Employee – worked at Outback Steakhouse full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great environment, great food, low stress. The food is mostly all handmade. The cooks are properly trained and know what everything is supposed to taste like and look like.
Cons – Of course working with the public is not very fun sometimes. Some people just like to complain but you just have to let it slide
