I worked at Overland Solutions part-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Good training with some training pay and basic benefits. Freedom to create your own schedule. Ability to work from home.
Cons – Low pay with annual raises in the pennies per hour. No bonuses. Mileage reimbursement well below IRS limits. Too much time spent working on stuff you don't get paid for. Too little work to make a decent living.
Advice to Senior Management – Treat employees how you would like to be treated.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Overland Solutions full-time for more than a year
Pros – Flexible schedule, Good Training and Support
Cons – Many billing restrictions due to client pressure on OLSI (many audits are limited to an hour even though much more than that went into scheduling, driving and performing actual audit). Route can be a large radius as a new hire.
Advice to Senior Management – Need to revamp compensation structure and not cave to the pressures of the client in an effort to retain their business.

I have been working at Overland Solutions
Pros – You can work your own schedule. Work is easy to conduct
Cons – Pay is poor, they do not pay mileage which is a minus considering 4.00 a gallon gas. You pay for your own gas and upkeep on your vehicle. Supervisors frequently assign you work that is outside of your area and then refuse to cancel assignment or give to someone who is closer to the area. There are some who review reports that are seriously bias and despite following all of the guidelines make up new rules as they go along and when confronted cannot give a reasonable explanation. Frequently the supervisor for the area does not return phone call messages and is never available to answer questions. There is no oversight over local supervision and no oversight of those who edit the daily reports. Pay is frequently delayed or not issued until you contact them despite claiming that it will be issued on certain dates.
Advice to Senior Management – Talk to the field representatives to see how communication is received from supervisors and audit personnel. Your field reps are the ones who promote your business in a positive light, however if they are not given proper support they will leave and you have wasted money and time training.

Most managers are encouraging
Co-workers are very helpful
Cons – Pay is low, and pay for performance for field auditors make it hard to make decent earnings.
Management is not informative of overall company performance in relation to the marketplace.

I worked at Overland Solutions
Pros – My position allowed me to work from home. There was some flexibility. I did not have to go into an office an deal with those kind of issues.
Cons – The company indicated that they wanted quality but still focused on quantity. In Insurance especially WC quality should be stressed over quantity. It was hard to find a balance.
Advice to Senior Management – Management needs to be more transparent on what they actually want. In the area of WC cannot speed through a review however if that is what the company wants more - quantity then indicate such. Management needs more experience in what the reviewers in the state of CA are actually doing in regards to WC audits to ensure that they are test audit proof. In this instance time has to trump quantity.
