I have been working at Oversee.net full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

free lunch fridays and a handful of smart, motivated people

    Cons

These leaders are truly terrible; CEO is confused; GMs are in over their head and don't know how to run businesses; the company has no intellectual property and does not invest in marketing tools to run operations properly. The company is being ripped apart to be sold or fold - do not join.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management doesn't listen or tell the truth to employees. Trust is earned through vision and leadership. The management at this company has neither.

sinking ship, has parts that can be salvaged, but on the whole the business is built on deceiving users to click on ads.

    I worked at Oversee.net full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

If you're smart, you can navigate around fairly easily and not be too hassled. There are some good people who have great ideas, unfortunately most will never get done but it's great to brainstorm with them.

    Cons

Challenges are not career developing, nor worthy of bragging about on an interview.
Mostly given work to protect a dying business model rather than try to grow the stuff that has potential.
Horrible political environment which starts in the executive suite (yes VPs sit in private offices).
If you're not a friend of the CTO from his prior positions, you'll be sidelined.
Leaves a bad scar on the resume as I learned afterwards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You talk about taking risks, but don't actually do it. Become a consumer company instead of a domain spammer, don't just talk about it.

Constantly Rearranging the Deck Chairs on the Titanic

    I worked at Oversee.net

    Pros

If I was able to do what I was hired to do, it would have been a dream job...but the reality was far different than the job description.

    Cons

Promising talent finds better work elsewhere. Company throws spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks, abysmal turnover rate and a complete lack of transparency from the top down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is more to running a business than numbers...but I was there under Jeff, perhaps it changed under Debra.

    Oversee = Sinking Ship

I have been working at Oversee.net

    Pros

    - Beautiful office space (though, unnecessary)
    - Free snacks
    - Free lunch on Fridays
    - Decent company benefits (no 401k match)
    - Casual working environment

    Cons

    - Senior Management is horrible; lacks communication, non-appreciative of staff.
    - Sr. Management doesn't understand the business model themselves (the vision has yet to be communicated to the company)
    - Complacent Sr Management who doesn't care about taking the business to the next level
    - Executes 'half-baked' ideas that end up disappearing into air
    - Does not do anything to retain any of the good talent
    - Poor M&A strategy; purchased a CSE and has done nothing to grow it though it's been under their umbrella for 9 months now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overall, Oversee as I put it is a sinking ship! They have no clear direction of where the company is going and is putting people in charge, who should not be in charge! They need new fresh talent... visionaries who are going to turn the company around. The way it stands now, all the employees are just waiting for the ax and collecting a paycheck in the meantime. I feel bad for the PE firm who invested so heavily in this company at such a poor time.
